MRT Station. The Red Line service from Bang Sue to Rangsit is expected to
be operational in November 2019. In September 2018, State Railway of
Thailand delayed opening of the Red Line to January 2021. The project itself

Province. In the future, the route will be extended to Thammasat University
Rangsit Campus.
Of the total 26.4km, 19.2km route will be elevated from Bang Sue area to
Don Muang, while the 7.1km-long section from Don Muang Station to
Rangsit will be at-grade and lined with fences. The latter will be connected to
the existing northern railway and feature gauge-railway track.

subterranean floor of the station will be set aside as parking space that can
accommodate 1,700 vehicles. The ground floor will be used for ticket sales
and reservations, contain a lounge for passengers as well as have commercial
areas.
The first floor will consist of four platforms for Red Line trains as well as
another eight platforms for long-distance train services. The second floor will
accommodate 10 platforms for regional services while another two platforms
could also be used to serve high-speed trains and airport rail link services in
the future.
The project is divided into seven zones, covering a total of 2,325 rais in and
around Bang Sue district. Zone A is planned for the development of a 32-rai
