 AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE $ CRIMINAL JUSTICE
TECHNOLOGY
Preparing students to engage in the specialized
service and maintenance of all types of vehicles.
Learn how to properly diagnose malfunctions, adjust,
repair, or replace parts. Taught by an Automotive
Service Excellence (ASE) Master Technician in an
ASE certified training facility, students are prepared
to enter the workforce right out of high school
while also preparing for advanced training and
certification.

COLLISION REPAIR $ CULINARY ARTS
TECHNOLOGY
Do you like working on cars and enjoy the
satisfaction gained from making a vehicle look
new again? Students learn vehicle construction,
minor body repair, sanding, painting, and MIG
welding. The program includes the use of National
Automotive Technical Education Foundation
(NATEF) requirements and is certified Automotive
Service Excellence (ASE) and I-CAR, the Inter-Industry
Conference on Auto Collision and Repair.

CONSTRUCTION TRADES $ for a challenge? Our Firefighting and EMS Careers
This is a pre-apprenticeship program with an
emphasis on job site safety. Students focus on
professionalism, problem-solving, trainability, and
team building to prepare them for direct entry into
an apprenticeship by meeting rigorous academic
and industry standards. Students learn commercial
and residential construction skills.
Credits: 1 Pathway Math, 1 CTE, 1 Elective

Architect (Pay Scale*: $15-$82/hour)
COSMETOLOGY $ TECHNICIAN
If you are interested in learning the art of beauty,
this program might be for you! Students commit
to 15 to 18 months of instruction to gain the 1640
hours necessary to take the WA State Department of
Licensing written and practical exams for licensure.
This is an offsite program with two locations, Fosbre
Academy in Olympia and Centralia Beauty College,
with no district transportation.

a career in law enforcement? Our Criminal Justice
program might be just what you are looking for! This
program is designed to prepare students to enter the
criminal justice world through teaching essential skills
and knowledge of criminal and constitutional law, the
criminal court system, police and patrol procedures,
criminal investigations, and so much more.

curriculum provides students real-life experience and
builds practical skills for a solid foundation in the
hospitality industry. Our students operate the New
Market Deli (open to the public) 4 days a week gaining
hands-on experience that cannot be matched.

CYBER SECURITY
Do you like solving puzzles? Want to be part of a
multi-billion dollar industry? Gain skills and knowledge
needed to pursue careers in Information and
Communications Technology. Students participate in
the CyberPatriot Cyber Defense Competition working
to secure virtual networks. This program will teach
students the basics of IT support with a foundational
knowledge of computer hardware, software,
networking, and security.

New Market and DigiPen Institute of Technology have
partnered together to offer high school students the
opportunity to learn the creative world of professional
production animation. Students will learn traditional
and digital drawing techniques as well as animation
fundamentals.

DIGIPEN COMPUTER
SCIENCE AP

and science behind video game development. Explore
key art, math, and computer science concepts. Gain
knowledge of programming, create 2D and 3D art
models, and learn about virtual reality development.

Placement (AP) exam at the end of the year.

Are you a hardworking team player that is looking

Students are introduced to firefighter training, fire
prevention, inspection, investigation, alarm systems,
dispatching, CERT, and emergency medical services.
Drill at a Fire Station or on campus with our fire
truck and also participate in Live Fire Training at the

Do you love working with animals? Preparing
students to enter the animal healthcare field or further
their education in related fields by teaching theory
and practical skills needed to work with animals

experience by offering weekly dog washes.

PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL $
CAREERS
Explore your options in the medical field with our
Professional Medical Careers program! Spend time
in the classroom and out in community facilities
learning many procedures for patient care. Students
earn certifications in CPR/First Aid/AED, HIV/
Bloodborne Pathogens, and Dementia and Mental
Health for Caregivers. They have the opportunity
to participate in a 50-hour clinical internship and
test for the Washington State Nursing Assistant
Certification.

SMALL BUSINESS START-UP
Interested in the world of finance or maybe starting
your own business? Small Business Start-Up might
be the program for you. This program is hands-on,
team-centered, and uses a network of education,
business, and community leaders to ensure students
are college, career, and future ready. In partnership
with Washington State Employees Credit Union
(WSECU), students learn project management skills,
foundational financial concepts, have an opportunity
to job shadow, build a professional portfolio, and
possibly earn a 1 year paid internship!

YOUTHBUILD
Community Youth Services (CYS) offers the
YouthBuild program on the New Market campus.
YouthBuild is a full-time, pre-apprenticeship
program that helps young people earn their high
school diploma or GED while getting hands-on
training and work experience in Construction
