Dear Sir,
I would like to apply for the advertised post of “Junior Engineer” in “Strengthening of Existing Runway
and Taxiway at Shah Amanat International Airport (SAIA), Chittagong" project. I have completed B.Sc. in
Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology with major in
Transportation Engineering on October, 2018. Currently I am doing M.Sc. in Structural Engineering from
same university (Thesis remaining only)
After completing B.Sc. Engineering, I worked as a Research Associate and Assistant Field Engineer under
Bureau of Research, Testing and Consultancy (BRTC), BUET in Rajuk-Purbachal 100 feet canal and
expressway development project. My responsibility was to site visit, checking/preparing construction work
plan, monitoring and quality control of construction work, evaluation of laboratory tests, checking structural
design in SAP2000, checking/revising AutoCAD drawings as per designer’s instruction, preparing Bill of
Quantities and monthly progress report. Alongside the field works, I, with my supervisor and project team
leader, focused on a study of “Development of Purbachal New Town as a Smart City with integrated
transportation and land use planning”. To develop this project, we successfully performed 4 step traffic
demand forecasting, highway design including 4 sets of U-loops, mass transit and water way transportation
system for seamless connectivity and solution to long term water clogging problem of Purbachal area.
I believe my experience and knowledge will add value to this position and ultimately to your prestigious
