Analyze the emotions in this scene using each of the prototype norms below. Provide an
example for EACH prototype norm. Think about the following questions to help guide your
responses:

Were the emotions displayed in the scenes appropriate/acceptable?

What were the stimuli that triggered the emotions?
What were the contexts in which the emotions were displayed?
Who were the spectators of the emotions?
How would you describe the intensity of the emotions and how they were displayed?

Prescriptive: It was valentine's day and the boy gave Taylor a surprise bear at the
beginning of the day. Throughout the day her emotions were reflected because of
the gift and special day.

Reactive: When Taylor wanted the boy to open his gift she got him. The boy was
excited to open it but then when he did and realized it was just his track jersey with
her number on it. His excitement changed and he was disappointed but had to show
her he cared about it to make her happy.

Relationship: There were 2 couples throughout the video and you can tell by the
emotions they share with each other. They both give and receive this emotion by
kissing and saying they love each other in front of the interviewer.

Status or Power: In the clip the status of being in a relationship or just a
friendship is being shown. The two girls and the two guys walking up the stairs in
the beginning are friends. They aren't saying they love them or getting gifts for
them because they are just friends while their boyfriends/girlfriends get each
other's things, that's an example of the status between people.

Which of Lee's love styles do you think are represented in the clip by each
character? One example is Eros Between the Two couples in the clip, they both
show physical attraction between each other. Second example is when the friends
are once again walking up the stairs and they care about one another, this is the
style of storge. Last example is when Taylor gives her boyfriend a gift and it has
her favorite number on it and it's not that creative, I think she's centered around
herself by that and it's called Agape.
