    The urinary system of the frog consists of kidneys that filter waste, an archinephric duct that drains the mesonephric tubules and becomes the ductus deferens in males, and a thin-walled bilobed bladder that stores urine and opens into the cloaca. In females, ovaries produce eggs that travel through oviducts and into the muscular uterus, while in males and females the cloaca receives waste from the anus and urogenital openings as well as urine from the bladder.

    URINARY SYSTEM OF THE FROG

    PARTS FUNCTIONS
    KIDNEY Elongated, compact flattened found in the lymph spaces above the coelem
    attached on either side of vertebral column
    ARCHINEPHRIC DUCT Duct draining the mesonephric tubules. In males it becomes the ductus
    deferens while in females it becomes vestigial
    BLADDER Thin-walled bilobed distensible structure. It opens the ventral wall of cloaca
    by a sphinctered aperture.
    OVARY/EGGS attached to the dorsal abdominal wall, close to the kidneys
    OVIDUCT  a long and much coiled glandular and ciliated oviduct
    UTERUS Muscular organ of the female reproductive organ
    CLOACA  a small, medium sac receiving the anus, urogenital apertures and the
    opening of urinary bladder.
