Steps for Business Analytics

Finding Missing Values –


1. Check where the values are missing in Data View
2. Go to the Variable view and go to the missing column in the missing areas. (Suppose Resale
is missing, so go to Missing column and under the Resale row do the operation)
3. Select the box (select the 3-dot box in that) and add values in the first box. And select
discrete missing values. Add 99 and click ok.
4. Now click on transform and click on recode into same variables. Click on the name of the
values that were missing and click on arrow mark. Now select old and new values.
5. Now select on system or user missing and the value 99 and select continue.
6. You will see 99 in the missing boxes.
7. Go to Analyse – Go to Descriptive statistics and then click on frequency.
8. Select the missing values name and select on arrow. Click ok.

Chi Square Tests –


1. Click on Analyse – Go to descriptive statistics and click on cross tabs.
2. Add the rows and columns in any order as given in the question
3. Go to statistics and click chi square tests.
4. Go to cells and click on observed and expected. Go to percentage and select row column and
total. And click on continue.
5. Now click ok

Outliners –
1. Click on the column for which outliner has to be done
2. Click on Analyse – Go to descriptive statistics and select explore
3. Click on the column for which outliner has to be done and send it to dependent list
4. Click on dependent together and unselect stem and leaf and select histogram. Check
whether display is in both and then select ok.

Charts –
1. Go to graphs – Chart Builder and select ok
2. Select the graph as stated and select the x axis and y axis and select ok.

Mean –
1. Select transform
2. Select Replace Missing Values
3. Select the name for which the operation has to be done and select ok.
