MGT220 – YOUR PROJECT CLOSE OUT PLAN 2

Zombie Silo Project Close Out Plan

Completion

Have every detailed step planned out before the start of the project and a timeline with due dates

of each task to avoid delays that may result in unfinished tasks. Accomplishing something as

simple as organization before the start will increase production completion and reduce timing

spent on project. Double check with all personnel and contractors about completion of the

project as a whole. If by any reason some smaller tasks might have slipped out, do everything in

your power to accurately complete each one. Require every outside contractor like water and air

filtration, or reservoir to submit a completion report before leaving the working site to avoid

miscommunication.

Documentation

From before to start-up of project 90% of the documentation will consist of progress

photography from every aspect that is either built or worked on the Zombie Silo. Some pictures

that will be documented are territory before construction, periodically updates of each system

whether be inside or outside the silo, contractors and personnel, materials that may come

damaged, machinery used, and monthly exterior pictures of zombie silo. Part of the

documentation will also be every single contract from vendors, contractors and personnel. As

well as any building permission needed.

Project Systems Closure

Proceed to carefully study each completion report from the zombie silo structure that every

contractor and personnel had to submit. Before continuing forward, visit the zombie silo

structure for yourself to confirm each job done for the project. After confirming and approving

each job done, release/complete payments to all contractors, vendors, and personnel. Update and

submit all necessary records for closure of project like work orders.

Project Reviews

Set up a designated room within the company building to host the project review. Design and

deliver invitations to everybody who was involved with the zombie silo project. Plan for

workshops that showcase all aspects of before and after of the project. Put together an

informative presentation about the silo’s process and current details. Mostly, focus the meeting

with what was learned from the project and accumulate a variety of opinions and suggestions for

a future project.

Disband the Project Team

Set up a day centered around the staff and outside staff that greatly contributed to the building of

the zombie silo. At the gathering, acknowledge everybody who brought this project together by

celebrating and rewarding each one of them. Promote staff members that truly have the potential

to expand their horizons within many other projects later on. Keep in contact with outside

vendors and contractors who were of great help during the whole process for future projects.

Stakeholder Satisfaction

Present stakeholders’ proof of success with timelines from start to end of the project. Further

explain each detail related to the zombie silo like what went on daily, steps of any sort,

acknowledge all vendors and contractors, all jobs that were set and met success at the end. Focus

more on the details about budgeting throughout the project whether it was hard times or not.

Offer information of how the zombie silo is doing based on potential buyers and what the aimed

selling price is (which should be a very high price).
