INTRODUCTION

A. Mikrotik Title Background is one of the wireless technology that is widely

used by people in Indonesia because by using Mikrotik network will be
more stable, has the ability to regulate bandwidth and user data. People
choose mikrotik because it is very effective during installation and in its
use.

Mikrotik is software that makes computer/pc as network roter. Mikrotik

has many features, namely hotspots, Upnp, DHCP, IPsec, and many more.
RouterOS mikrotik comes in many levels. Each level has its own
capabilities, ranging from level 3, to level 6.In short, level 3 is used for
ethernet internet routers, level 4 for wireless client or serial interface, level
5 for wireless AP, and level 6 has no limit. For hotspot applications, you
can use level 4 (200 users), level 5 (500 users) and level 6 (unlimited). To
understand the configuration of microtic hotspot settings. Therefore I
chose the title " microtic hotspot settings "

Mada Blok D & E No. 1.2.3, Batu Batam Mas, Kec. Lubuk Baja,
Batam City. The company was founded on November 16, 2016, by
three founders. The number of employees at this company is 5
people. PT Hak Artha Digital Internasional has the slogan "IT
Business Solutions", where the company wants to be a solution to
IT problems faced by various clients. In carrying out its business
processes the company always prioritizes professional service by
providing a good image for the company.
Since operating until now the company has issued much software
such as:
1. Academic Information System,
2. Digital Membership Card,
3. School Payment Gateway,
4. Online store
 5. Website Company Profile

Based on the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of

the Republic of Indonesia on 17 November 2016 Number: AHU-
0051142.AH.01.01.TAHUN 2016, based on a request from Notary
Hasan, SH. The composition of the company's directors and

The operational activities of PT. Artha Digital International rights
relate to software development ( software) associated with many companies,
agencies, institutions the customers from the company. PT. Artha Digital
 International Rights operates every Monday - Friday, 08.00 to 17.00 WIB.
General operational activities, namely:

a. Market the company's products and services to potential customers.

c. Analyze the needs of each project that is being worked on and running.
d. Designing systems or products that have been carried out in the

g. Recap all income and expenses for each project. Manage fees for
h. teams and marketing.

Discussion and Configuration Results

A. Computer Network

Computer networks are two or more computers that are connected to each
other and used to share data. Computer networks are built with a
combination of hardware and software. To create a computer network,
switches and routers use various protocols and algorithms to exchange
information and to bring data to the desired endpoint. Networks can be
private or public. A private network requires the user to enter credentials to
access the network. Usually, this is provided manually by the network
administrator or obtained directly by the user through a password or by other
credentials. Public networks such as the internet do not restrict access.

mikrotik is an operating system and software that can be used to make a PC
or computer for a reliable router network. In the router, PC can also include
many features such as wireless network IP Network, internet café provider
and hotspot. Mikrotik is specially designed to facilitate various computer
network needs. Call it like designing and also building a small to complex
computer network system. Internet café businesses mostly use mikrotik for
their routers. As a result, not a few of these entrepreneurs are satisfied with
microtic performance. The functionality of this device on the network is
very important. Here are 6 main microtic functions to know: mikrotik is an
operating system and software that can be used to make a PC or computer
for a reliable router network. In the router, PC can also include many
features such as wireless network IP Network, internet café provider and
hotspot. Mikrotik is specially designed to facilitate various computer

4. Many Interesting Features.

5. Can Act As a Router.

6. Mikrotik has also been able to detect various kinds of ethernet cards from
various vendors.
Microtic deficiency:
Mikrotik has not been able to handle a large-scale internet network, because
the certification issued is a certification that is less so livestock, and unlike
cisco whose certification is recognized by internationally, so this makes
microtics have shortcomings.

C. Winbox
winbox is a small application that can be used to perform micro-
administration of RouterOS quickly and with a GUI display. Winbox can be
used on Linux, MacOs and Windows. In addition to using Winbox to
perform administration, you can also use Webbox, a web-based RouterOS
Microtic administration system.

 D. Microtic Hotspot Configuration Steps

1. Open Winbox select mac address and click, for admin usernya and
password is empty because this is still in default state.

2. Setting Interface Mikrotiknya, Masuk ke dalam menu Interface.

Change the name of each Interface to easily remember the functions of
each interface.

Set IP address dhcp client mikrotik Login or click the menu "IP" then click the
menu "DHCP" then click "Client" then click the "plus" sign in the Interface
 section, and select "Internet", then this Interface will be able to ip address
automatically from the modem. Then Check in the Use Peer DNS, Use Peer NTP,
and Add Default Route sections. Then click OK.

3. Settings in IP Address Mikrotik Open menu "IP" open menu "Addresses"

then click the sign "plus" then input IP address 192.168.10.254/24 for wifi,
and 192.168.20.254/24 for LAN.

4. Setting the DNS IP mikrotik Enter on the IP menu and then enter the
DNS menu, then enter the DNS ip is 8.8.8.8 and then check the "Allow
Remote Reques" so that the cache accessed by the computer can be
stored.

Setting IP Route Mikrotik Click the IP menu then click "Routes", the gateway will
be filled automatically.

5. Setting IP Pool on mikrotik Click on the menu "IP" click "pool" then click
the sign "plus" and input the IP that will be used by the client. LAN :
192.168.10.10-192.168.10.100 WIFI : 192.168.20.20-192.168.20.200

6. Setting DHCP Server Network Mikrotik Click on the menu "IP"

click again"DHCP Server" then click "network" then click again
 the sign "add" then setting its Address, Gateway, Netmask, and
DNS.

7. Setting DHCP Server Mikrotik Click menu "IP" then click "DHCP
Server" then click "DHCP" then click the sign "add" then setting name,
 interface, Address pool, and Add ARP For Leases.

8. Nat Mikrotik Firewall Settings Click on the menu "IP" then click
"Firewall" then click again on the menu "NAT", then click the sign
"Add" after that the contents on the "chain" and its "interface". Then
 check by opening the browser and then click google.com whether it is
connected or not, if it is not connected then the configuration is still
wrong. If it is still wrong check then in check back.

9. Setting Web Proxy Click on "IP" then click on "Web Proxy" then click
"General" then check on his "enable"

10. Click "access", then click on the column "Dst. Address" then fill it into
80, after that fill in the column "Dst Host" with www.youtube.com
 then click the column "Action" fill in the column, after which click ok.

11. Firewall Settings Click on the menu "IP" then click "Firewall"
then click "NAT" after that click the sign "Add". Click on the
menu "General" then fill in the column "Chain" after that the
contents are also fields in protocol, (tcp) Dst. Port, and Out.
Interface then click "ok" then the microtic hotspot has been
successful and can be used.

CLOSING
CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS

A. Mikrotik conclusion is able to connect computer clients in the office in order to

be connected by the internet and can use bandwidth management configuration
for daily blindness.

B. Advice
1. To monitor network performance in the form of more complete and simple
traffic.
2. Limit quota for uploads used by many people.
