Nobody truly knows how and when life originated on Earth. With this being said the fact that earth could be the only
planet that could support life is possible but very unlikely. Since we do not know what exactly caused life on earth to
start we don’t know what to look out for in other planets to see if life could be created. No planet is more Earthlike than
Earth itself, so if life does emerge readily under terrestrial conditions, then perhaps it formed many times on our home
planet. To pursue this tantalizing possibility, scientists have begun searching deserts, lakes and caverns for evidence of
aliens that would differ fundamentally from all known living creatures because they arose independently. Most likely,
such organisms would be microscopic, so researchers are devising tests to identify exotic microbes that could be
living among us. Even if alternative life does not exist now, it might have flourished in the distant past before dying out
for some reason.

Scientists might still be able to find markers of their extinct biology in the geologic record. If alternative life had a
distinctively different metabolism, say, it might have altered rocks or created mineral deposits in a way that cannot be
explained by the activities of known organisms. Biomarkers in the form of distinctive organic molecules that could not
have been created by familiar life might even be hiding in ancient microfossils, such as those found in rocks dating from
the Archean era.

Aliens

For decades now, and with ever-increasing sophistication, we have been searching the universe for signs that we are
not alone. Rovers are probing the surface of Mars. Scientists are planning missions to other promising spots such as
Saturn's moon Enceladus and Jupiter's moon Europa, both of which may harbor liquid water. So far, we have found
nothing. What if it stays that way? What if, by mid-century, we have visited every life-friendly place in the solar system,
eavesdropped on radio transmissions from a hundred million stars and peered at millions of exoplanets without finding
the slightest trace of life?

Universe

The Universe is bigger than us as humans could even imagine. Also we have been on earth for millions of years and
still haven’t explored all of it let alone space and our solar system. We have barely touched the surface of our solar
system let alone our universe which is made up of ,millions of solar systems like our own making it very likely that there
is life out there that we don’t know about and they don’t know about us.

Extraterrestrial Studies

On October 19, 2017, a Canadian astronomer named Robert Weryk was reviewing images captured by a telescope
known as Pan-STARRS1 when he noticed something strange. It scans the sky each night, recording the results with the
world’s highest-definition camera. It’s designed to hunt for “near-Earth objects,” which are mostly asteroids whose paths
bring them into our planet’s astronomical neighborhood and which travel at an average velocity of some forty thousand
miles an hour. The dot of light that caught Weryk’s attention was moving more than four times that speed, at almost two
hundred thousand miles per hour. Weryk alerted colleagues, who began tracking the dot from other observatories. The
more they looked, the more puzzling its behavior seemed. The object was small, with an area roughly that of a city
block. It had to have a very odd shape Either it was long and skinny, like a cosmic cigar, or flat and round, like a
celestial pizza. Instead of swinging around the sun on an elliptical path, it was zipping away more or less in a straight
line

Pentagon leaks

The Department of Defense confirmed what seekers of extraterrestrial life have long hoped to be true: They’re real.
the Pentagon released three Navy videos that have driven speculation about unidentified flying objects for years, saying
it meant to clear up anything about whether the unclassified footage was real or complete.
It’s real, the Pentagon said, including links so the curious could download the footage for themselves.
The videos, captured by naval aviators, show objects hurtling through the sky, one rotating against the wind, and pilots
can be heard expressing confusion and awe. When they first appeared online, they breathed new life into the decades-
long conversation about whether interstellar visitors had ever come to Earth.
