Cold in Place Recycling

CIPR is defined as rehabilitation technique in which the existing pavement materials are
reused in place.

Step 1: The reclaimed asphalt pavement materials is obtained by milling, planning or

crushing the existing pavement with the recycling machine to a 50mm depth.

Step 2: The stabilizing agent such as cement and bitumen emulsion( in liquid form) will be
added and mixed with the reclaimed asphalt pavement materials though the separate spray
bar.

Step 3: After the mixing process, it will be then relayed back to the same pavement area in a
single process.

Step 4: The layer is th3en compacted using a vibratory roller to obtain the required density.
