Deleted 1.3.5 UTD Training Categories / #9 Endorsements

[Training that was to be handled by endorsements is now handled by an additional class or
‘mini.’ For example, Tech 1 with a ‘stage endorsement’ will now be accomplished by the student
completing Tech 1 and a Stage Mini. Endorsements were removed from the Standards and
Procedures because our online educational system does not have the capability to do
endorsements at this time.]

2.2 Instructor and Diver Membership Renewals

To maintain currency in all facets of diving theory and practice, UTD Instructors and
Divemasters are required to renew their UTD Memberships annually. UTD divers are also
strongly encouraged to renew annually. All renewal fees are due on December 31 for the
following calendar year. Fees increase on February 1 and March 1.

2.2.1 Expired Instructor Renewals

Any instructor who has not renewed their UTD instructor membership by April 1 of the current
year is considered an “Inactive Instructor” and must complete the following in order to renew:

• Successfully complete the Instructor Requalification course

• Pay all required renewal fees for the current year

Section 3.0:

Separated and changed course numbers for Open Water (110) and Recreational 1 (111). 

Rec 1 is Open Water with Nitrox.

Moved 203 Rescue and Emergency Procedures from Recreational category to Specialties/
Mini’s

Slight reordering and renumbering of courses.
