Course Description: This course studies general communication principles and their applications in the context of general health services and specifically provides nursing care
for Individuals, groups, families and communities, and in the health team for various clinical and community practices. In addition, this course also discusses
trends and issues related to the development of communication in the health sector. Furthermore, This course also examines the principles of therapeutic
communication and its application in the context of general health services and specifically in providing nursing care that is intended for Individuals, groups,
families and communities for various clinical and community practices
Learning Outcome After participating in learning activities, if given a case, students are able to:
1. Analyze general communication concepts in fostering interpersonal relationships with Individuals in various situations and conditions.
2. Analyze the concept of effective communication in fostering interpersonal relationships
3. Analyze the factors that influence communication
4. Analyze the influence of socio-cultural background in communicating
5. Analyze the concept of communication in the context of health services, especially multidisciplinary communication
6. Analyze trends and issues in health communication
7. Simulate effective communication in interpersonal relationships with clients, families, groups, fellow nurses and other health workers ..
8. Able to perform stages in therapeutic communication
9. Able to perform therapeutic communication techniques appropriately according to the client's situation and condition.
10. Able to analyze obstacles in therapeutic communication and apply them appropriately when dealing with clients.
11. Able to perform therapeutic communication in special conditions and various age ranges
