This assignment is worth 10 points. In chapter 4, we learned about Business Continuity Plans (BCP),
which is a written plan for a structured response to any event that results in an interruption to critical
business activities or functions. One of the first steps in developing a comprehensive BCP is to fully
assess the risk(s). In this assignment, we will do just that.

For this assignment, we will generate a risk profile of your local Starbucks. We will assess the overall risk
profile based on the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Remember, a BCP is a plan for any event, not just for
cyber related events. The idea for this assignment is not to create a BCP. Rather, it is designed for you to
understand some of the inputs required for a BCP. Thus, this exercise will allow you to see the
relationship between assessing risks and the BCP.

Open up the file named “assignment-3-resource.” Complete part one of the self-assessment of the
“assignment-3-resource” file. There are 60 criterions. Make sure you complete them all. On page 7,
calculate your total risk score.

Deliverable:
You can submit the entire assignment-3-resource file if you want, but all I need is pages 2-7. Since most
Starbucks should have a similar risk profile, your grade will be based on your risk score and compared
against the median risk score submitted by all other students. Below is the rubric:

Median score 100%

+/- 5% from median score 95%

+/- 10% from median score 90%

+/- 15% from median score 85%

+/- 20% from median score 80%

+/- 25% or greater from median score 75%
