for his blessing so that we could share
our health and positive energy into the
great event also able to contribute to
this country. We really appreciate that
the Lembaga Studi Ilmiah Mahasiswa
Faculty of Medicine Universitas
Brawijaya for its consistency
persistently active, responsive toward
scientific issues in the health field whis
is needs special attention.
Medical Fiesta as one of the biggest

annual scientific event for medical and health scienses students
around the world, has many activities. In 2020, the current
theme of Medical Fiesta, " Holistic Approach in Tropical
Infectious Diseases ". It is considered a very good event for
medical and health sciences students to complete as well as to
get knowledge and technology in the subject of Tropical
Disease. Tropical diseases are a common disease that occurs in
tropical and subtropical regions within 149 countries, therefore
also is an important health problem in all of the tropical
countries, like Indonesia and still needs special attention.
Based on that the obstacles in prevention and treatment, and

the impact caused by tropical diseases, will certainly have an
impact on daily life especially in terms of economic, social, and
psychosocial. All sectors in society, especially in the health
sector, need to work together to solve these problems. And,
actually, Students, as agents of change, certainly have an
important role in society in preventing the increasing
prevalence of tropical diseases. So, your participation in
Medical Fiesta 2020 is a part of collaboration in an effort to
eradicate numerous health problem related tropical disease. In
this event you can gain the new information, sharing the
sciences and showed skill to each other in order to updating
and upgrading the knowledge and psikomotor with some extra
competition.
Although the pandemic are still continues but it could not stop
us, to widening our horizon by joining online seminar and
workshop. I really expect that we could greatly be blessed by
God and able to provide best solution in coping this health
problem of Tropical disease.
Keep smart also healthy during the pandemic and be

constantly spirited.

Hello outstanding student!
Congratulations on qualifying for

being a finalist in the medical
fiesta competition. Medical Fiesta
is an international competition
from Lembaga Studi Ilmiah
Mahasiswa, Faculty of Medicine,
Universitas Brawijaya, Malang,
Indonesia. This year the medical
fiesta raises the theme of the
competition, namely "Holistic
Approach in Tropical Infectious Disease", I hope the theme
raised this year can arouse the enthusiasm of all students to pour
creative ideas as solutions in the health sector to create a
healthy world. Why was this theme raised? because the
problem of infection from year to year has not been resolved,
continues to increase due to various factors. Even though the
implementation of this year's medical fiesta is online, I hope the
enthusiasm to compete and be a winner will still be great.
We are very grateful because friends are willing to participate

in this competition. Being a winner is an added prize, but

Hello Seeker of knowledge!
First, congratulations to all of you

who were selected as finalists of
Medical Fiesta 2020 of Brawijaya
University Malang. Let me as the
chairperson of medical fiesta
2020 give warm greetings to all
of you. The event is hosted by the
Medical Students 'Research
Organization and supported by
the Students' Executive Board,
Faculty of Medicine, Brawijaya
University. This year is the 5th
times Medical Fiesta becomes
international competition and the
9th of international seminar and national workshop.
The theme for this event was "Holistic Approach in Tropical

Infectious Diseases". Through this topic, we will understand the
latest updates on tropical infectious diseases to emergency
response situations that must be carried out. Through the
seminar, we will find ways as medical students to improve our
knowledge and we will get new skills from the workshop.
We do not forget to apologize if this event is a little different from

the previous event, which is being held online at this time due to
the current pandemic situation. But do not worry, because the
entire committee will still give the best for all the delegates. And
we hope you will experience the same scientific atmosphere of
the event.

What is Medical Fiesta?
Medical Fiesta is well known as one of the biggest annual

scientific events in Indonesia, during the last nine years. Medical
Fiesta is pioneered by Medical Students’ Research Organization
of Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya. It is our mission to
provide interdisciplinary insight in improving health through the
latest knowledge, science and discussion with students and
experts in the field of medicine and health sciences. Also, our
vision is to provide the students the best knowledge and value
through a good relationship with medical and health sciences
students from all over the world. We establish some competitions
to improve the quality of medicine knowledge and health
sciences. The Competition contains of Research Paper
Competition, Literature Review, National Public Campaign
Competition, National Sinematography, and Scientific Essays.
We hope that it will be one of the motivations for students to
apply their ideas into reality, improve the critical thinking for
health problems, and feel the unique experience with other
students from different culture and different backgrounds. In the
end of the session, we provide a International Seminar and also
Workshop, related to our theme to give the insight about the
latest issues in Tropical Infectious Diseases.
So, this years, Medical Fiesta 2020, will take place from October
22th-25th, 2020 under the theme of "Holistic Approach in
Tropical Infectious Diseases". We would like to invite you, to
come and become our Speakers in our biggest event. With your
presence and lecture, we hope it would be enrich the sharing
of experience and knowledge amongst the participant and
faculty.

PRESENTATION GUIDELINE
A. Literature Review
I. PRESENTATION VIDEO FORMAT
1. Each team should make a presentation video with a
maximum duration of 8 minutes in accordance with
the guideline. The video is recorded (screen record)
using application. Participants are recommended to
use any video conference application (such as
Zoom, GoToMeeting, or other similar applications) to
record the video. Presentation is performed as if in
front of the judges.
2. Finalists should present their work in the form of oral
presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint as the
presentation media. PowerPoint is attached using
the sharescreen feature of the application, while still
showing participant’s faces in the screen.
3. PowerPoint is created with the following format:
a. The slide number is not restricted.
b. The first slide of PowerPoint shows title of
Literature Review, Author’s name, and the
logo of Medical Fiesta 2020.
c. Slide content should not contain university
name or logo.
d. Slide content should not contain any forms of
racial discrimination or pornography.
4. Maximum of presentation video size is 200 MB.
5. All finalists should wear formal attire without any
attribute to the institution of origin for final
presentation video. All attire having university name
or logo is prohibited.
6. Video must not be edited by cutting the video,
covering a part of the screen, or other things that are
'reducing' in the presentation video.
7. Video must not be edited by adding backsound,
subtitle, animations, a part of another video, or other
things that are 'adding' in the presentation video.
8. Video should not contain university name, logo, or
other elements that indicate the institution of origin.
9. Presentation video is uploaded to Google Drive,
then the link for which access has been activated is
sent to email address litrevmedfiest2020@gmail.com
with attachment of softcopy file of PowerPoint. The
subject for the email is “Presentation Video -
University Name - First Author” (eg. Presentation
Video - Universitas Brawijaya - Christika Ayu Wedha
Murti).
10. Google Drive link of the presentation video and
softcopy file of Powerpoint are submitted no later
than October 16th 2020, at 23.59 Western Indonesian
Time (GMT+7). The committee will not accept any
video and softcopy presentation after the period
closed.
11. After sending the email, participants should confirm
the submission of the work by message or Line to the
contact person of Literature Review Competition:

12. Confirmation is sent through text message of
Whatsapp or Line message within 24 hours after the
submission with format “Country Name_University
Name_Presentation Video Submission_Literature
Review_First Author” (eg. Indonesia_Universitas
Brawijaya_Presentation Video Submission_Literature
Review_Christika Ayu Wedha Murti). If the Participant
does not confirm, then the work will not be assessed.
13. Teams are evaluated based on their written
research 60% and their presentation 40% by the
judges.
14. If participants found guilty of violations, all decisions
will be made by the authority of the committee.
15. The committee and judge's decision is final, binding
and cannot be contested.
II. PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS

1. The final round of Medical Fiesta 2020, consisting of
presentations and discussions, will be held online via
Zoom video conference on Friday, October 23rd
2020.
2. Before the final day, the committee will create a
group for each competition category in LINE
application, whose group members are all team
leaders and the Medical Fiesta 2020 committee. This
group is created to deliver informations to the finalists
and to draw the presentation order numbers.
3. The explanation of final mechanism and the draw of
presentation order numbers take place at Technical
Meeting, on Thursday, October 22nd 2020.
4. Zoom video conference link for each competition
category will be shared on the morning before the
final via LINE group.
5. Participants who are unable to attend the final
round cannot be replaced by other participants.
6. Finalists should have a good internet connection for
final round so that it does not take much time.
However, if before, during, or after the final, there are
unexpected connection problems, finalists can
contact their LOs.

8. Finalists should turn on the camera during their group
presentations and discussions.
9. In the presentation session, the presentation video
that has been sent by finalists will be played by the
committee to the judges using Zoom sharescreen
feature for 8 minutes. Finalists will not present their
work again in this session.
10. After the video has been played, there will be live
discussion session for 9 minutes. Each of the judges
responds and asks question to the finalists in this
session. Finalists can answer questions from the
judges by turning on the microphone first.
11. In the discussion session, the committee displays a
timer using the sharescreen feature to remind finalists
how much time have left for their presentation. If the
time runs out, the finalists must stop the presentation,
without exception.
12. Finalists must turn off their camera and microphone
after the discussion ends.
13. Top three (3) finalists will be determined during the
final round.

D. Video Edukasi
I. KETENTUAN VIDEO PRESENTASI
1. Setiap tim membuat video presentasi berdurasi

maksimal 5 menit sesuai dengan ketentuan. Video
direkam (screen record) menggunakan aplikasi.
Peserta dianjurkan menggunakan video
conference (seperti Zoom, GoToMeeting, atau
aplikasi lain yang serupa) untuk merekam video.
Presentasi dilakukan seolah-olah penampilan di
hadapan juri.
2. Finalis mempresentasikan karyanya dalam bentuk
presentasi oral. Presentasi tidak menggunakan
PowerPoint, Prezi, atau software presentasi elektronik
lain.
3. Video edukasi tidak perlu ditayangkan dalam video
presentasi.
4. Video presentasi menampillkan wajah anggota tim
pada layarnya.
5. Bentuk presentasi finalis bebas sesuai kreativitas
peserta dan diperbolehkan menggunakan alat
peraga atau properti lain yang sesuai.
6. Ukuran video presentasi maksimal 200 MB.
7. Finalis mengenakan pakaian formal tanpa atribut
yang menunjukkan institusi asal pada video
presentasi, termasuk nama atau logo universitas.
8. Video tidak boleh diedit dengan memotong video,
menutup sebagian layar, atau hal-hal lain yang
bersifat ‘mengurangi’ pada video presentasi.
9. Video tidak boleh diedit dengan menambahkan
backsound, subtitle, animasi, bagian dari video lain,
atau hal-hal lain yang bersifat ‘menambahkan’
pada video presentasi.
10. Video tidak boleh memuat identitas institusi asal
dalam bentuk apapun.
11. Video presentasi diunggah ke Google Drive,
kemudian link Google Drive yang aksesnya telah
diaktifkan dikirim ke email
videomedfiest2020@gmail.com. Email diberi subjek
“Video Presentasi – Nama Universitas – Nama Ketua”
(contoh: Video Presentasi – Universitas Brawijaya –
Nikita Riski).
12. Link Google Drive video presentasi dikumpulkan
paling lambat 16 Oktober 2020 pukul 23.59 WIB.
Panitia tidak akan menerima video apapun yang
dikumpulkan setelah periode pengumpulan
berakhir.
13. Setelah mengirimkan email, peserta dapat
melakukan konfirmasi pengumpulan video melalui
pesan LINE/WA kepada narahubung lomba Video
Edukasi: Nikita Riski (081344412095/ID Line:
nikitayeza) atau Indrasta Septi (087859928921/ID
Line: indrastasepti).
14. Konfirmasi dilakukan paling lambat 24 jam setelah
pengumpulan video dengan format “Nama
Kota_Nama Universitas_Pengumpulan Video
Presentasi_Video Edukasi_Nama Ketua (contoh :
Malang_Universitas Brawijaya_Pengumpulan Video
Presentasi_Video Edukasi_Nikita Riski). Jika peserta
tidak melakukan konfirmasi, maka karya tidak akan
dinilai.
15. Penilaian tim dievaluasi berdasarkan 60% dari
penilaian karya (penilaian juri dan online voting) dan
40% dari nilai presentasi.
16. Peserta yang terbukti melakukan pelanggaran akan
diberikan konsekuensi atas wewenang panitia
Medical Fiesta 2020.
17. Keputusan panitia bersifat mutlak, mengikat, dan
tidak dapat diganggu gugat.
II. KETENTUAN PRESENTASI

1. Sesi final Medical Fiesta 2020 berupa presentasi dan
diskusi akan dilaksanakan secara online melalui
video conference Zoom pada Jumat, 23 Oktober
2020.
2. Sebelum hari final, panitia akan membuat satu grup
untuk setiap cabang lomba dalam aplikasi LINE,
yang anggota grupnya adalah seluruh ketua tim
dan panitia Medical Fiesta 2020. Grup ini dibuat
untuk membagikan informasi lomba ke finalis dan
mengundi nomor urutan presentasi.
3. Pemaparan teknis perlombaan dan pengambilan
urutan presentasi finalis dilaksanakan saat Technical
Meeting, pada tanggal 22 Oktober 2020.
4. Link video conference Zoom untuk setiap cabang
lomba akan dibagikan paling lambat pada pagi
hari sebelum final dilaksanakan melalui grup.
5. Peserta yang berhalangan hadir tidak dapat
digantikan oleh peserta lain.
6. Finalis diharapkan memiliki koneksi internet yang
cukup baik selama perlombaan sehingga tidak
menghabiskan banyak waktu. Namun, apabila
sebelum, selama, dan setelah perlombaan terdapat
masalah koneksi yang tidak terduga, finalis dapat
menghubungi LO masing-masing.
7. Seluruh finalis wajib memakai pakaian formal dan
rapi, tanpa atribut apapun yang menunjukkan
institusi asal, seperti nama atau logo universitas.
8. Finalis diwajibkan menyalakan kamera pada saat
presentasi dan diskusi kelompoknya berlangsung.
9. Pada saat sesi presentasi, video edukasi yang telah
dikirimkan finalis sebelumnya, akan ditampilkan oleh
panitia kepada juri melalui fitur sharescreen selama
5 menit. Kemudian video presentasi akan
ditampilkan selama 5 menit. Finalis tidak
mempresentasikan karyanya kembali ketika sesi ini.
10. Setelah video presentasi selesai ditampilkan, akan
dilanjutkan sesi diskusi selama 7 menit secara
langsung. Masing-masing juri menanggapi dan
melakukan tanya jawab kepada finalis pada sesi ini.
Finalis dapat menjawab pertanyaan dari juri

E. Poster Publik
I. KETENTUAN VIDEO PRESENTASI

1. Setiap tim membuat video presentasi berdurasi
maksimal 7 menit sesuai dengan ketentuan. Video
direkam (screen record) menggunakan aplikasi.
Peserta dianjurkan menggunakan video
conference (seperti Zoom, GoToMeeting, atau
aplikasi lain yang serupa) untuk merekam video.
Presentasi dilakukan seolah-olah penampilan di
hadapan juri.
2. Finalis mempresentasikan karyanya dalam bentuk
presentasi oral. Presentasi tidak menggunakan
PowerPoint, Prezi, atau software presentasi elektronik
lain.
3. Poster dilampirkan sebagai media presentasi
menggunakan fitur sharescreen pada aplikasi
dengan tetap menunjukkan wajah anggota tim
pada layar video presentasi.
4. Peserta tidak diperkenankan mencantumkan
identitas institusi pada poster asal dalam bentuk
apapun.
5. Poster tidak mengandung unsur SARA, pornografi,
kekerasan, maupun unsur lain yang dapat
merugikan pihak tertentu. Poster tidak mengandung
iklan produk maupun institusi yang bersifat komersial.
6. Bentuk presentasi finalis bebas sesuai kreativitas
peserta dan diperbolehkan menggunakan alat
peraga atau properti lain yang sesuai.
7. Ukuran video presentasi maksimal 200 MB.
8. Finalis mengenakan pakaian formal tanpa atribut
yang menunjukkan institusi asal pada video
presentasi, termasuk nama atau logo universitas.
9. Video tidak boleh diedit dengan memotong video,
menutup sebagian layar, atau hal-hal lain yang
bersifat ‘mengurangi’ pada video presentasi.
10. Video tidak boleh diedit dengan menambahkan
backsound, subtitle, animasi, bagian dari video lain,
atau hal-hal lain yang bersifat ‘menambahkan’
pada video presentasi.
11. Video tidak boleh memuat identitas institusi asal
dalam bentuk apapun.
12. Video presentasi diunggah ke Google Drive,
kemudian link Google Drive yang aksesnya telah
diaktifkan dikirim ke email
postermedfiest2020@gmail.com. Email diberi subjek
“Video Presentasi – Nama Universitas – Nama Ketua”
(contoh: Video Presentasi – Universitas Brawijaya –
Idzni Rachma).
13. Link Google Drive video presentasi dikumpulkan
paling lambat 16 Oktober 2020 pukul 23.59 WIB.
Panitia tidak akan menerima video apapun yang
dikumpulkan setelah periode pengumpulan
berakhir.
14. Setelah mengirimkan email, peserta dapat
melakukan konfirmasi pengumpulan video melalui
pesan LINE/WA kepada narahubung lomba Poster
Publik: Idzni Rachma (089699405246/ID Line: idzni18)
atau Khoridatul Bahriyah
(08883001950/bahriyah_07).
15. Konfirmasi dilakukan paling lambat 24 jam setelah
pengumpulan video dengan format “Nama
Kota_Nama Universitas_Pengumpulan Video
Presentasi_Poster Publik_Nama Ketua (contoh :
Malang_Universitas Brawijaya_Pengumpulan Video
Presentasi_Poster Publik_Idzni Rachma). Jika peserta
tidak melakukan konfirmasi, maka karya tidak akan
dinilai.
16. Penilaian tim dievaluasi berdasarkan 60% dari
penilaian karya (penilaian juri dan online voting) dan
40% dari nilai presentasi.
17. Peserta yang terbukti melakukan pelanggaran akan
diberikan konsekuensi atas wewenang panitia
Medical Fiesta 2020.
18. Keputusan panitia bersifat mutlak, mengikat, dan
tidak dapat diganggu gugat.
II. KETENTUAN PRESENTASI

1. Sesi final Medical Fiesta 2020 berupa presentasi dan
diskusi akan dilaksanakan secara online melalui
video conference Zoom pada Jumat, 23 Oktober
2020.
2. Sebelum hari final, panitia akan membuat satu grup
untuk setiap cabang lomba dalam aplikasi LINE,
yang anggota grupnya adalah seluruh ketua tim
dan panitia Medical Fiesta 2020. Grup ini dibuat
untuk membagikan informasi lomba ke finalis dan
mengundi nomor urutan presentasi.
3. Pemaparan teknis perlombaan dan pengambilan
urutan presentasi finalis dilaksanakan saat Technical
Meeting, pada tanggal 22 Oktober 2020.
4. Link video conference Zoom untuk setiap cabang
lomba akan dibagikan paling lambat pada pagi
hari sebelum final dilaksanakan melalui grup.
5. Peserta yang berhalangan hadir tidak dapat
digantikan oleh peserta lain.
6. Finalis diharapkan memiliki koneksi internet yang
cukup baik selama perlombaan sehingga tidak
menghabiskan banyak waktu. Namun, apabila
sebelum, selama, dan setelah perlombaan terdapat
masalah koneksi yang tidak terduga, finalis dapat
menghubungi LO masing-masing.
7. Seluruh finalis wajib memakai pakaian formal dan
rapi, tanpa atribut apapun yang menunjukkan
institusi asal, seperti nama atau logo universitas.
8. Finalis diwajibkan menyalakan kamera pada saat
presentasi dan diskusi kelompoknya berlangsung.
9. Pada saat sesi presentasi, video presentasi yang
telah dikirimkan finalis sebelumnya, akan
ditampilkan oleh panitia kepada juri melalui fitur
sharescreen selama 7 menit. Finalis tidak
mempresentasikan karyanya kembali ketika sesi ini.
10. Setelah video presentasi selesai ditampilkan, akan
dilanjutkan sesi diskusi selama 8 menit secara
langsung. Masing-masing juri menanggapi dan
melakukan tanya jawab kepada finalis pada sesi ini.
Finalis dapat menjawab pertanyaan dari juri
dengan menyalakan microphone terlebih dahulu.

7 WONDERS OF MALANG & MALANG CULINARY
MOUNT BROMO
Bromo is an active volcano located at the border of

Lumajang, Malang, Pasuruan and Probolinggo Districts. It has an
altitude of 2.392 msla which is very fascinating for both domestic
and foreign tourists. The temperature varies from 3°-20°C. With
the support of several tourist attractions around, it becomes a
unique and outstanding destination to visit. Mount Bromo is
included in the area of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park
and it been said that Bromo was named after Brahma which is
one of the Gods according to the Hindu beliefs. Residents
around Bromo are known by the name of Tengger Tribe which
is the tribe of the tribe of Java and they are the descendant
kingdom of Majapahit. Mount Bromo has its own beauty
compared to other mountains. Bromo besides a good place to
take pictures, the weather is cool, fresh, and it has a special
uniqueness.
JATIM PARK
Jatim Park 1, Jatim Park 2 and 3 is a popular recreation

area because in addition to the many rides where to take
pictures, play and more. Differences between jatim park 1,2,
and 3 are for Jatim park 1 it contains many examples of human
body anatomy and history in Indonesia such as: traditional
houses, batik, and relics of ancient times. W hile jatim park 2
contains batu secret zoo and others but Jatim Park 3 contains
Dino Park, The Legend Star and each other. It is located at Dewi
Sartika Atas Street, Sisir, Batu City, East Java. It served many
theme, starting from the educational zone such as history of
Indonesian culture, science centre; the playground zone such
as dragon coaster, battery car; and the adventure zone. If you
want to go to Jatim Park 1 include all the facilities, it only costs
Rp 130.000,00 on weekdays and Rp 150.000,00 on weekends. In
there, you can see so many game rides and many zone. Jatim
park 1 is very fantastic, beautiful, and recommended for
everyone.
JODIPAN
Kampung Warna Warni Jodipan is situated at

Temenggungan Ledok Street, Kesatrian, Blimbing Sub-district,
Malang, East Java. It’s around 400 meter south of Kota Malang
train station. Kampung Warna Warni Jodipan can be seen from
the bridge and it takes around 5 minutes walk from there to the
village. Jodipan bassically is a unique village in Malang,
because the house in that place was colorful and located
beside Brantas River. A house in that village has at least three
different colors painted on its walls and roof. Being a tourism
village, Jodipan has given a great contribution to Malang City
and its surroundings regarding tourism income. Most of the
visitors are people who want to take selfies in that area and
exploring the village. Ticket price to enter Kampung Warna
Warni Jodipan is Rp 3.000,00/person
SENDIKI BEACH
Sendiki beach has a difference from the beach in

Malang, which is a well-maintained beach with clean sea
water, beautiful beaches, clean sand beaches, beautiful
natural beauty, and cool air.. usually many beaches are rarely
concerned with cleanliness with the large of visitors. Sendiki
beach throughout 2,5 hours and it is loated Area Sawah/Kebun,
Tambakrejo, Sumbermanjing, Malang, Jawa Timur 65148.
Sendiki beach is also good for selfies or photo spots.

Malang Central Park or Alun-Alun Malang located Jl.

Merdeka Selatan, Kiduldalem, Kec. Klojen, Kota Malang, Jawa

COBAN RAINBOW WATERFALL
The location of the waterfall is in Gubukklakah Village,

Poncokusumo District, Kab. Malang, East Java. why is it called
rainbow waterfall? The best time to come to Coban Pelangi
Waterfall is at 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, because at that time the
position of the sun that has begun to rise makes the water splash
around the waterfall look colorful like a rainbow. And this is the
background of the name of the waterfall. And when it comes in
the afternoon, the phenomenon of splashing water that seems
colorful will begin to disappear, this is caused by the mist around
the waterfall that slowly descends and blocks the beam of
sunlight. Let’s try it !!
MUSEUM BRAWIJAYA
The located Museum Brawijaya Jl Ijen No.25 A, Gading

Kasri, Klojen, Kota Malang, Jawa Timur 65115. Named after one
of the most prominent military forces during Indonesia's struggle
for independence, the Museum Brawijaya displays several
artillery pieces used in many battles that took place in the 1940s
- including battles in Surabaya on November 10, 1945. Hosting a
collection of armored vehicles from tanks to private cars used
by military generals, this museum will surely pull strings from every
military geek. Especially with artillery collections from small
firearms to large anti-air missiles !. One of the most interesting
parts of history is located in the central courtyard of the
museum. Known as 'Death Car' or 'Death Train', this seemingly
harmless train car has claimed more lives than you can imagine.
