Question 1: What is SEO & why is important?

Answer:
SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION:
SEO stands for Search engine optimization. It is a set
of rules for optimizing your website so that it can achieve higher
rankings in search engines’ organic results. It’s the process to follow to
increase the visibility of your website in search engines and get more
traffic.
SEO has two main goals. The first is to help you understand what users
are searching for online so that you can create high-quality content to
satisfy their intent. The second is to help you create a website that search
engines can find, index, and understand its content.

SEO IMPORTANT BECAUSE:

• The majority of search engine users (more than 70%  – see graph below) are
more likely to click on one of the top 5 suggestions in the search engine
results pages (SERPS). To take advantage of this and gain visitors to your
website or customers to your online store, your website needs to appear in
one of the top positions.

• SEO is not only about search engines but good SEO practices improve the
user experience and usability of a website.

• Users trust search engines and having a presence in the top positions for the
keywords the user is searching, increases the website’s trust.

• SEO is good for the social promotion of your web site. People who find your
website by searching Google or Bing are more likely to promote it on
Facebook, Twitter, or other social media channels.

• SEO is important for the smooth running of a big web site. Web sites with
more than one author can benefit from SEO in a direct and indirect way.
Their direct benefit is an increase in organic traffic and their indirect benefit
is having a common framework (checklists) to use before publishing content
on the site.

Question 2: What is Domain Hosting and CMS?

DOMAIN HOSTING:
Domain hosting is a service that provides domain
names for websites. A domain hosting service sells domains and
registers them to an owner in exchange for a yearly subscription fee.
Different types of domains have different prices, from as low as around
10$ reaching up to the $1000’s. Depending on how common or
uncommon the domain is.
A domain is set up like this; www.YOURWEBSITENAME.com. It has
different sections separated with dots. What a domain does is direct
visitors to a specific website, much like the address of a house. Every
domain has a matching IP address that sets its location on the internet.
Domains are categorized into levels. The most common are top-level,
generic top-level, and second-level. All web hosting providers that also
offer domain hosting all have top-level domains, some generic top-level
domains, and some second-level domains. The usual domain names
are .com, .net, .org .By buying a domain from a domain host, you gain
ownership of that domain for as long as you pay the yearly fee. But you
can’t build a website without web hosting, a domain only gets you an
address.

CMS:
CMS stands for Content Management System, which is essentially
software that helps you to build a website. It may provide you with
templates, and it will definitely give you a way to create and manage
digital content — most often through a user-friendly WYSWYG editor
which is similar to using Microsoft Word.
Common CMS’ include Tumblr, WordPress, Joomla, Wix, and Drupal.
On the more advanced side of the spectrum, you’ll find (ECM), which
does everything a web CMS does, and then some. It supplements a
typical web CMS features by facilitating collaboration in the workplace
by integrating digital asset management, eCommerce, and document
management into the mix. Going a step further, you’ll notice how most
ECMs are becoming DXPs (Digital Experience Platforms), which help
brands personalize content, deliver content to IoT devices, and much
more.

Question 3: How much content is good for SEO ranking?

A) Your website content is the foundation for every SEO strategy you
implement on your website.  It is, essentially, the fuel that drives the car.
So, how much fuel, or content, do you need to impact your search
rankings?
If you search the internet for “what is the best word count for SEO?” or
something like that, you will find different answers from multiple
resources.  According to Search engine land, longer content (1,000+
words) tends to help websites show up in search results. Forbes indicates
that an average of 600-700 words per page is optimal for SEO.  And,
Forbes states that websites with less than 300 words per page are
considered “thin” by Google’s standards and, most likely, won’t rank as
highly in search.  Figuring out the best content strategy for SEO can be
confusing at best.  However, identifying the best content strategy for
your business and website is easy.

Question 4: How to perform SEO audit. In steps?

• Simply creating a website and hoping that it performs well is not
going to be enough. Sure, some have struck it big with pure luck,
but the real thrill of keeping your website functioning and profiting
lies in the details.
• To make sure that you’re not overlooking any potential problems,
it’s time to learn how to do an SEO audit of your website. It’s
possible that you have carried out some of the essential audit
processes by coincidence, but that can’t compare to doing a
dedicated SEO audit.
• Do you know how to do a Technical SEO analysis of your
website? Do you know why you should have already done one?
• A complete analysis of your website gives you the opportunity to
keep your website up-to-date, find the problem areas, boost your
traffic, and even increase your sales conversions. It might be hard
to imagine that a single analysis can do all of that, but an SEO
audit is a very thorough process.
• Today, you can learn the best way to perform an SEO audit that
will truly make a difference in your website’s quality, traffic, and
overall performance. The included checklist and step-by-step guide
will help to ensure that you can make it through the process with
confidence.
