ABOUT FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The Departments of Automobile, Civil and Mechanical Engineering, IILM Academy of
Higher Learning, Greater Noida are jointly organizing a one week FDP on “The Scope
of Additive Manufacturing in Digital Manufacturing”, from 18th January 2021 to 22nd
January 2021.
Aim: This FDP aims at enriching skills and knowledge of faculty members and researchers
in the evolving field of Additive Manufacturing Technology. In the past resource persons
from world renowned firms like Designtech Stratasys, Wol3D, Renishaw, Wipro 3D,
Fronius India, Objectify Technology, ILZDA, NML Jamshedpur, Voxeljet India, Anton Paar,
Magmasoft India, have shared their skills, experience and expertise with the audiences at
the SAIP series which was successfully organized by the department.
CONTENT COVERED
• 3D Printing & Additive Manufacturing-An Overview CAD for Additive
Manufacturing,
• Materials used in Additive Manufacturing - Polymers and Metals, Non Metals and
Ceramics and their processing techniques,
• Dynamic Challenges and Opportunities in Additive Manufacturing,
• Bird eye view of commercially available Additive Manufacturing Equipments in the
market,
• Inspection and Testing techniques adopted in Additive Manufacturing Process.
OUTCOMES OF FDP
• To assess the value of additive manufactured part based on productive cost,
Performance and use cost.
• To understand the technical principles of additive manufacturing.
• To acknowledge the additive manufacturing process and its use.
• To empower the complex, multivariate landscape of Additive manufacturing
equipment, materials and applications.
ABOUT INSTITUTE
College of Engineering and Technology, IILM Academy of Higher Learning, Greater Noida
was established in the year 2002 and is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical
University. It is approved by AICTE. It is a dynamic and research-intensive academy which
provides world class education in the fields of Computer Science Engineering, Electronic
& Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Civil
Engineering and Biotechnology and Management. Along with an excellent ambience,
the emphasis here is on quality education through various teaching aids and overall
development of the students through different interactive ways.
ABOUT DEPARTMENTS
Department of Mechanical Engineering:
The department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) at IILM-Engineering was established
in the year 2004. The branch offers full-time B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering
and M.Tech degree in Computer Aided Design & Manufacturing (CAD-CAM). The faculty
is highly qualified and experienced in various fields of ME. The faculty members mentor
students in such a way that they could excel in today’s competitive environment.
Department of Automobile Engineering:
Established in 2012, Department of Automobile Engineering (AU) at IILM- Engineering
offers a full-time four-year engineering course, affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow and
approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Our department always strives to teach its students
the latest technological advancements and beyond the syllabus topics. This is the only
reason, that instead of teaching students on charts and models, they are given hands-on
experience with three-dimensional training aids. These training aids have been created
in-house from various types of two and four-wheeler vehicles. Students are always
encouraged to undertake projects which are futuristic.
Department of Civil Engineering:
Department of Civil Engineering was incepted in 2014 with the four-year B.Tech Degree
course in Civil Engineering at IILM CET, Greater Noida, affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow
and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Being a four years old department, it is excellently
equipped with modern featured classrooms, modern laboratories with latest equipment
& tools, and distinguished faculty who are continuously putting in endeavours to prepare
its students ‘best sought after’ human-resources in the industry. In order to increase the
ease and probability of economically better placement as per the the current demand of
the building industry, this department is uniquely operating within and also beyond the
university curriculum. The chief intent is to emphasize the key subjects and push for the
practice-based learning in laboratories for the applicable skill development and efficiency
improvement of its students.
