OFF-CAMPUS EXAM REGULATIONS:


1. For BBS MM Young Professional Program and BBS MM Blended Learning Program students,
you are allowed to write in correct and proper Bahasa (except for the other programs, it
should be in correct and proper English).
2. Students are responsible for preparing all their needs for the exam, for example: Internet
connection, laptop, etc.
3. You MUST STAND BY 5 minutes before the exam starts by signing in the system.
4. Students must submit and upload their answers through the system within the exam time.
5. A student may complete and submit the answers of the exam into the portal before – but not
after – the exam time ends.
6. No additional exam time will be given for tardy students.
7. A student will be considered cheating if he or she is suspected of doing plagiarism as already
defined in the student guidelines. Plagiarism is committed through, but not limited to,
the following acts:
- Copying the work of another student
- Directly copying any part of another person’s work
- Summarizing the work of another person
- Using or developing an idea or thesis derived from another person’s work
- Using experimental results obtained by another person
- Incitement by a student of another to plagiarize
- Copy pasting from a book / textbook / internet.
8. Any student who is caught doing the above action (s), will be listed by name and the Ethics
Committee will decide whether or not the action is considered as cheating.
9. Should the Ethics Committee consider and verify your actions as cheating, you will
immediately face expulsion from BINUS BUSINESS SCHOOL - MASTER PROGRAM.
10. If a student finds difficulty to upload the answers, they have to contact the staff within the
exam time with evidence to further process.

1. Star Berry Bakery is one of the well-known bakeries in Jakarta which will produce three new pie
variants, namely Choco Devil Pie, Choco Dande Pie, and Choco Wheat Pie. To make the new pie,
he needs a composition of flour, wheat, chocolate, powdered milk and baking powder which he
buys directly from his supplier every day. Every day, Star Berry buys 30 kg of chocolate, 20 kg of
milk powder, 20 kg of baking powder, 40 kg of flour and 8 kg of wheat. To make a Choco Devil
Pie it takes 20 ounces of flour, 16 ounces of chocolate, and 4.5 ounces of baking powder.
Meanwhile, to make a Choco Dande Pie it takes 18 ounces of flour, 10 ounces of chocolate, 9
ounces of powdered milk and 3 ounces of baking powder. To make a Choco Wheat Pie you need
15 ounces of flour, 5 ounces of wheat, 8 ounces of chocolate, 10 ounces of powdered milk and 5
ounces of baking powder. The production price for Devil Pie is 180 thousand rupiah, Dande Pie is
160 thousand rupiah and Wheat Pie is 200 thousand rupiah. Star Berry will sell pies at a price of
240 thousand rupiah for Devil Pie, 215 thousand rupiah for Dande Pie, and 250 thousand rupiah
for Wheat Pie. (20 Points)
a. Determine the decision variable, constraint function and objective function for the above
case.
b. How many pies of each does Star Berry have to produce for maximum profit?
c. Calculate the monthly profit (25 working days) Star Berry costs for the delivery of raw
materials of 300 thousand rupiah per month, promotion costs of 500 thousand rupiah per
month and taxes of 5% and profit when not taxed?
d. Give a summary from that result!

2. The Waltis company is the largest shoe cabinet company in Indonesia. Therefore, Waltis has 3
large factories in the Tangerang, Medan, and Manado areas. Each factory can produce 400, 300,
and 250 units of shoe cabinets per month. Waltis' products will be sent to its warehouses located in
Jakarta, Riau and Barjarmasin with a tamping capacity of 250, 550 and 200 units, respectively.
Following are the delivery costs required from each factory to each warehouse. (20 Points)

3. PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia has 4 different types of operations and must be assigned to 4 factory
locations. The four factory locations are spread across Riau, Samarinda, Papua and Balikpapan.
The profits (in thousands of USD) associated with each operation in each location are presented in
the table below. Vice President of PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia wants to give assignments to get
maximum benefits. Help the Vice President in assigning the four types of operations to 4 locations!

4. Café Browbrow is one of the famous cafes in Palembang. The cafe sells various kinds of drinks,
one of which is Strawberry Milkshake, which is sold for 20 thousand rupiah. Strawberry Milkshake
made from strawberry syrup obtained from Strorry Shop. In 1 year, he was able to sell 4450 glasses
of milkshakes. The price of 1 bottle of strawberry syrup is 5 thousand rupiah. Each bottle of syrup
delivery will be charged a fee of 35 thousand rupiah per order. Delivery time takes 1 week. Due to
the high demand for milkshakes, Café Browbrow rented a warehouse to store its raw materials for
a rental fee of 250 thousand rupiah. Apart from that just in case the shop owner has prepared a
stock of 100 syrups. With the data above. Help Café Browbrow determine: (20 Points)

d. What is the point of ordering Back?

5. PT. Wijaya Arya is a company engaged in petroleum mining. In early 2020, PT. Wijaya Arya wants
to expand their mining area by opening new mining areas in Kalimantan, Java, Sulawesi, and
Sumatra. However, during this plan, the government issued a new draft law on mining so that the
forecast of the costs to be incurred changed, including:
