AMRITA MBA – BUSINESS LAW – SIMULATION GAME

THE SIMULATION EXERCISE IS DESIGNED TO GIVE AN EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING OF HOW


BUSINESS IS DONE WITH THE LEGAL ISSUES AT THE BACK GROUND BY DIFFERENT FIRMS
COMING TOGATHER BASED ON THEIR DOMAIN EXPERTISE. EACH ENTERPRISE SEEKS
MAXIMUM VALUE PROPOSTION AND IT IS A HARD BARGAIN IN THE BACK DROP OF THEIR
INTELLECTUAL AND FINANCIAL BACK GROUND.

THE CLASS IS DIVIDED AS FOUR PLAYER GROUPS. EACH PLAYER GROU GETS A BRIEFING AS
ATTACHMENT. ONE PLAYER DOES NOT KNOW THE BRIEFING DONE TO OTHER EXCEPT FOR
BASIC DETAILS WHAT THE OTHER PLAYER IS.

STEP 1 -ALL ARE ASSEMBLED IN ONE MAIN ROOM .


STEP 2 FOUR SEPARATE ROOMS ARE CREATED WITH THE FOUR PLAYER GROUPS.
STEP 3 – EACH PLAYER GROUP STRATEGIZE THEIR PLAN BASED ON THE BRIEFING GIVEN TO
THEM.
STEP 4 – EACH PLAYER GROUP NOMINATES A NEGOTIATOR AND A RAPPORTEUR WHO WILL
ASSIST THE NEGOTIATOR
STEP 5- THE TWO MEMBERS FROM EACH GROUP ( 4X2= 8) WILL MOVE TO A SEPARATE
ROOM AND START NEGOTIATING FOR A BEST DEAL FOR THEIR RESPECTIVE GROUP-THIS
WILL BE FIRST ROUND
STEP 6- THEN THEY RETURN TO THE RESPECTIVE PLAYER ROOMS TO BRIEF THEIR
COLLEAGUES ON THE OUTCOME AND WORK OUT FOR A COUNTER STRATEGY
STEP 7- THE RESPECTIVE PLAYER REPS WILL AGAIN GO TO THE NEGOTIATING ROOM (8
MEMBERS) FOR ROUND 2 OF THE DEAL

STEP 8- ALL WILL ASSEMBLE AFTER THE STIPULATED DEADLINE IN THE MAIN ROOM FOR
GIVING A PRESENTATION TO THE ENTIRE CLASS BASED ON THE POINTS RAISED BY THE
CLASS TEACHER. THE SAME WILL BE EVALUATED AS MARKS FOR THE GROUP PLAYERS
