4- Requirements & Lab Policies:

- Laboratory reports have to be turned in one week after completion of the laboratory
work. Unexcused late reports will not be accepted. All reports must be typed. Use a
spreadsheet program to enter raw data, to perform calculations and to prepare the
required graphs and tables for the reports.
- Individual (not group, except for the project & case study) written reports shall be
neat and in professional quality
- When submitting hardcopies of your reports, you must have a cover sheet with your
name, the course number and the date, with subsequent pages appropriately labeled.
- I am absolutely open to email questions (zshatnwi@kfu.edu.sa). In the subject line, I
recommend using "CEE 350 Environmental Engineering Lab" in the subject line of
your email to assure that your message is flagged as a student message.

5- Personal Protective Equipment:

- Students will be required to provide their own goggles or side shield safety glasses for
eye protection.
- Appropriate gloves will be provided as needed.
- Laboratory coats are mandatory.
- Wear pants (no thoub are allowed).
- Wear sturdy shoes that cover your feet (no sandals or open-toed shoes).
- Many experts believe that contact lenses can trap dangerous vapors or liquids in your
eyes.

6- Attendance Policy:
Class attendance is required. In the event of an absence, it is the student’s responsibility to
obtain class notes, assignments, etc.

7- Academic Honesty: Academic honesty is the foundation of higher learning for
students and teachers. The University policy concerning academic dishonesty will be
strictly adhered to. Acts of Academic Dishonesty under the KFU Student Conduct
Code are:

• Preparing work for another that is to be used as that person’s own work
• Cheating by any method or means
• Knowingly and willfully falsifying or manufacturing scientific or educational data and
representing the same to be the result of scientific or scholarly research
• Knowingly furnishing false information to a University official relative to academic matters
• Soliciting, aiding, abetting, concealing, or attempting conduct in violation of this Code

Any violation of the policy can result in immediate failure of this course or other sanctions.
