Goals

I will develop leadership skills in colleague collaboration:

GOAL: I will collaborate data from colleagues’ own classrooms to improve each other’s teaching
skills and student learning.

SHORT-TERM OBJECTIVE: Regular meetings with colleagues and advocate for increased
observations of each other’s classrooms.

LONG-TERM OBJECTIVE: Colleagues’ classroom data incorporated into helping teachers


improve on our own methods and student success.

RATIONALE: Students as well as colleagues will benefit from teachers being aware of each

I will develop leadership skills in community involvement:

GOAL: I will collaborate with the school’s local community and get involved with students and
colleagues.

SHORT-TERM OBJECTIVE: Complete research about local community organizations/members


that can benefit my students and colleagues and our school in general, and reach out to said
organizations/members.

LONG-TERM OBJECTIVE: Regular visits, hosting, and involvement with school’s local community
by the school.

RATIONALE: Having a sense of belonging increases the students’ and teachers’ confidence and
sense of purpose in their daily responsibilities and tasks.

I will develop leadership skills in increasing student engagement:

GOAL: I will learn additional methods of engaging the students who do not connect with the
lessons, and share those methods with colleagues by conducting presentations / PD’s.

SHORT-TERM OBJECTIVE: Research conducted and presented to school staff regarding


diversifying instructional approaches to target all students in classroom.

LONG-TERM OBJECTIVE: Constantly and permanently find, share with colleagues, and practice
methods of changing up instructional strategies to reach the comprehension and interest of all
students involved.

RATIONALE: Each student deserve to understand and make sense of mathematics.
