The images themselves are, of course, originally from the game and belong to Alderac and L5R. I just put
them together on this page for reference for all those ditz types like me who have low heraldry marks, but like to look at them all at once. :D
The clans are in alphabetical order, with specific family mons underneath the greater clan mons.
01/20/2015 - From the tons of link-ins I get on this page, I assume y'all still want it. I've seen a few people mention this page in posts and want to
know where I got the mons. Evansville Gaming Guild is long since disbanded, though I leave the link in for posterity. >.>;; The watermark style
mons I actually snagged from the L5R official website. Again, I DO NOT play the game anymore (though I go and make faces at a few of the
competitors at GenCon), so if there's a change made somewhere, I really do rely on one of you guys sending me a message. Thanks!

I was amused to note a few changes - some "old" clan mons that have been added in, as well as a changed spelling for one of the Unicorn clans. lawl.
Some of those changes are from storyline events - like when the minor clans of Centipede and Wasp were taken over/joined in with Mantis and
became families in the Mantis clan. Where this happens, I've tried to note it in both locations. The exception to this is Sparrow, which while sort of a
subsidiary clan of Crane, doesn't really like being called Crane, and the Crane don't like being reminded that those farmers over there are actually sort
of related. If yer playin' Sparrow, though, you ought to know that much. :p

* Most of the

little from the (also Pheonix family)

originally
snagged because
they were hard
to see, I thought.
Nothing major,
just upped the
contrast and
Hitomi
darkened them a
little in an
attempt to see
the images more
clearly. I went
with the thought
that I should still
be able to see the
rice-paper like Hoshi
texture behind
the dragons.

The green version here isn't behaving. It's another one of those
invisible background things that isn't showing up right.
Spider Save the file on your computer, and the black background should
go away.

Iuchi
(this particular mon makes me wince
because the first two symbols are
katakana - "i" and "u" respectfully,
but the final sound "chi" is in
hiragana. Sigh. I know, not Japan,
but it still makes me wince.)
イウチ
That's what it should look like.

wouldn't look like *that* otaku)

I cannot take credit for these on my own, I snagged the images from "http://www.evansvillegamingguild.com/rpgs/l5r/mons.php" and from the
Alderac official website.
05/21/2013 - I'm fixing all my other pages, but I realized that this page is probably Just Fine with plain black and white, so I'm leaving it like this. :)
9/6/2011 - geeze, y'all. O.o;; Okay, so this page is getting hit enough that I updated it. The newer images are mostly snagged from wikipedia, but I
also went back and snagged the new stylized major clan mons off the alderac webbie. The new ink-style mons are supposed to have a white
background, but they were trying a nifty thing with making backgrounds invis on the jpg. But I have red background on my website so they look
sorta crappy where the black of the ink is supposed to be fading away - use 'em on a white background and they'll look cool again.
