Web Launchpad

When I first got started on this assignment, I thought it was going to be much more
simpler than it was. I, initially, had a hard time finding good and free websites for the
activities I had in mind. Eventually, though, I found some good websites that had free
and accessible, amazing learning games! That was fun to find, I bookmarked some
that I found for my 6 year old son to use. The other hurdle was figuring how to use
Word document, better. I have been using “pages” and “powerpoint”, thus far, but I
wanted to become more familiar with “word” and was it, again initially, hard for me to
figure out. My web launchpad is on the simple side, but I am happy with it. I learned
how to use “word” a bit better and I love that I stuck with it, over “pages”. Some tools
that I learned were how to add a chart, how to insert hyperlinks, how to insert emojis,
and how to add a reflection to the images.

learning environments that engage and support learning.

Looking up a variety of learning games was so much fun, because I ended up playing
a good bit of them to see how reliable they were. Some that I found, made me feel
excited at the thought of my future students using them, to help them learn. I would
want to use this concept to come up with different web launchpads, each focusing on
one subject. For example, a Math web launchpad filled with Math learning games only.
