data center infrastructure, a customized solution, remedial repairs, as well as one or more
scheduled preventive maintenance visits during the agreement year. We help you maximize your
investment to keep your facility and processes at peak operational performance.

The Data Center Service Plan provides the following features, for all Schneider Electric products and

3.0 Adding Options


Now that basic Data Center service needs have been addressed, there are several options for customization
of your contract. These options include response time upgrades, 7x24 preventive maintenance scheduling
upgrades, and remedial repair labor & spares coverage.

Response Time Upgrades Ensure that a first responder will arrive on site quickly to identify issues and facilitate a
corrective solution. Upgrades to 4 hour or 8 hour response are available in many areas

this option, maintenance visits can be scheduled any time of day or night, weekends

4.0 Remote Monitoring Services


Schneider Electric Remote Monitoring Service (RMS) is a secure, firewall friendly web-based service that
provides real-time monitoring of the health and status of the Data Center devices.
Upon detection of a critical device situation, the Field Engineer will be notified and intervene onsite as
necessary.
Customers will also be notified of any site related critical issue to help them maintain continuity of service.
The convenient RMS web interface provides the customer with a real-time, dynamic snapshot of the Data
Center system's health, while the flexible profile can be easily accessed to reflect contact changes within
Data Centers organization.

Remote Monitoring Services

5.0 On Site Maintenance Activities


The Data Center Service Plan offers a comprehensive list of onsite activities. The specific activities listed in
the tables below represent a suite of onsite activities that can be performed by Schneider Electric certified
service personnel or by authorized service partners. You can opt out of, or if desired, can request further
customization of the activities specified. Please consult with your local Schneider Electric
representative for details, to fully develop a service plan that best suits their needs.

On Site Maintenance Activities


UPS Maintenance
Activities Description

Perform Visual Inspection Inspect the UPS and/or PDU solution to ensure that all system components are clean
and functioning within designed specifications.
Perform Environmental Verify and document that the system’s environment is within specified operating
conditions including but not limited to room temperature, airflow, dust contamination,

Perform Mechanical/Electrical
Inspect all power and control wire termination points as well as all UPS and/or PDU.

Check UPS and/or PDU event and alarm logs & verify that input, output and bypass

Cooling Units Maintenance


Activities Description
 Measure room temperature and humidity.

Inspect the devices to ensure; fuse and breaker sizes correspond to drawings; barriers
and shutters are installed; filters are in place and vents are clear; proper clearances are

Transformer
Activities Description
Inspect following items on all transformers: Control and alarm devices to confirm settings
are as specified and to record the maximum temperatures for all parameters; inspect the
exterior surfaces for signs of deterioration or corrosion; check bushings for signs of
cracking, chips or other damage; inspect all anchorage, alignment, and grounding are in

For dry type transformers, inspect the core and coils for signs of overheating, blocked
ventilation or other failure mechanisms; assure resilient mounts are free.
For liquid filled transformers, note liquid level, nitrogen pressure and signs of any leaks;
assures radiator cooling fins are not blocked.

Inspection conditions including but not limited to room temperature, humidity, dust contamination
and other airborne contaminants.
Inspect following items on all transformers: Verify tightness of accessible bolted electrical

(on in-service tap for de-energized tap changers or all taps for load tap changers);

for lab analysis).

6.0 Assumptions
The successful performance of the tasks defined in this Statement of Work is based on the following key
assumptions, which are agreed to by Schneider Electric.
• All services performed on-site by Schneider Electric will be executed during business hours unless
otherwise requested by the customer.
• All services are performed on-site by certified Schneider Electric service personnel or by authorizd
service partners.
• All units and devices must be kept in an environment that adheres to manufacturer specifications.
• Hours of Operation for Technical Support are Country specific and include either 7 X 24 or
business hours coverage.
• The Remote Monitoring Service is only available in English for networked equipment with the
appropriate Schneider Electric management accessory properly configured.
• Remote Monitoring is not available in all locations. Please consult with your local Schneider
Electric representative for availability in your area.
• Next Business Day is defined as the next day during the business week and normal business
hours.
• Where Next Day and 4 Hour services are available for purchase, certified personnel will arrive on
site next day or within 4 hours from the time Schneider Electric Technical Support deems an on-site
visit is necessary.
• Response time is defined as elapsed time between when Schneider Electric technical support
determines an on-site visit is necessary and the time the service people arrives at the customer’s
site.
• Preventive Maintenance visits are available during business hours with an option to upgrade to 7
X24, including weekends and holidays.
• Geographical restrictions may apply. Please verify the service coverage and response time for your
location with your local Schneider Electric office.
• Rack based accessory replacement coverage is included in some countries. This provides
replacement parts, no on site visit. Please check with your local service sales representative for
availability.
• Some aspects of the service definition presented in this document may vary by location. In the
case of a conflict between the service definitions contained on this Statement of Work and the local
service definitions the local service definitions will prevail. For more information, please refer to your
Schneider Electric sales representative.
• In the event the that some units has not been previously covered by an On Site Maintenance
contract, Schneider Electric requires a recertification maintenance visit prior to placing an on site
maintenance contract on the unit.

The following items are not included in the scope of this service:
• Support for third party equipment, unless not specifically defined and agreed (*)
• Internal and external batteries are not considered as included parts. They will be subject to a
separate quotation, which will include labor and travel.
• Configuration of the Remote Monitoring (RMS).
• Battery Replacement Labor
• Travel for Battery Replacement

7.0 Scope of Responsibility


The items stated here are responsibilities of both Schneider Electric and the customer.

7.1 SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC RESPONSIBILITIES


• Meet the customer’s service schedule date.
• Perform all of the Maintenance service tasks.
• Submit Site Report and Maintenance Forms to the customer.
• Ensure all action items are completed.
• Inform and provide recommendations to the customer about any action items not
included in the SOW (statement of work).

7.2 CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES


• Provide dates and times when the scheduled work can be performed.
• Facilitate site access for Schneider Electric service personnel.
• Notify Schneider Electric personnel of any security clearance requirements in
advance of arrival.
• Notify Schneider Electric personnel of any safety training and safety
equipment requirements.
• Provide an on-site point of contact.
• Ensure safety plan is in place prior to intervention.
• Sign the completed Maintenance forms after the intervention.

8.0 Terms and Conditions


Schneider Electric standard Terms and Conditions apply. The information provided in this Statement of
Work cannot be used or duplicated, in full or in part. Other uses for this document are prohibited without
written consent from Schneider Electric. All documentation, photographs, thermal imaging or other
information provided by the customer, or gathered at the customer site, will be for internal Schneider
Electric use only and used solely for the purpose of report generation, analysis and recommendations.
