Traditional Foods from my hometown

Kapurung is one of the traditional foods in South Sulawesi, specifically for

people in Luwu. This food is made from sago flour or sago flour and is better

known as Pugalu. This foodstuff in Maluku and Papua is known as papeda. The

method is quite easy, the main ingredient that needs to be prepared is the original

sago or sago flour that is needed to be dissolved with hot water. After the sago

thickens, the dough forms small round balls like meatballs. Then served again

with peanut sauce which is served with various vegetables and fish.

Vegetables that are used as a supplementary ingredient of lime have a

variety, including long beans, sweet corn, eggplant, spinach and also the heart of a

banana. For seasonings are made from spices, such as chili, candlenut, pepper,

and garlic. The hereditary recipe uses patikala fruit for a fresh and sour taste. If

you don't like fish, you can replace the side dishes with chicken or shrimp.

Kapurung tastes better when served hot, plus lemon or lime added to the freshness

of this culinary. Peanut sauce is rich in spicy can provide warmth in the body.

Kapurung also has nutritional value that can meet the body's nutritional

needs. This can be obtained from a variety of vegetables that are eaten together

with cuts of meat which are a source of protein. In addition, the calorific value is

lower than rice, so it is suitable for those who want to enjoy culinary while

enjoying their weight.
