Data migration from SAP-ECC to SAP-HANA using SLT

Step 1: Create RFC using SM59 transaction code ( SAP to SLT connection ).

Go to Transaction code SM59 in SAP-ECC system.

Select ABAP connection and click on Create.

Enter the RFC Destination name and Description.


In Technical Settings , enter the Target Host and Instance No.

Click on Logon & Security tab and enter the user name and password.
Click on SAVE.

Click on Connection Test.

Step 2 : Create Configuration using Transaction code LTRC .


Go to transaction code LTRC.

Click on Create configuration.

Pop-up will appear.

Enter the Configuration Name and Description.

Note : In , SAP-HANA same name of Configuration Name Schema will creates .

Click on Next button.


Specify Source system

Select RFC Connection radio button.

Enter the RFC Destination Name.

Check Allow Multiple Usage ( Means we can use this RFC for multiple data transfer )

Check Read from Single client and click on Next.


Specify Destination system.

Click on DB connection radio button.

Select Database system as HANA.

Enter the Administration User name , Password , Host Name Instance Number of HANA system.

Click on Next.
To get HANA Host name and Instance Number , go to additional properties .
Number of Data Transfer Jobs : Each job can transfer 4 tables. for example in our requirement we have
16 tables that means we require 4 jobs.

Number of Initial Load Jobs : Data which transfers first time.

Number of Calculation Jobs: which calculates system statistics.

Click on Next.

Review and click on Create.


Successful configuration looks like,
Step 3: Check the Schema name in SAP- HANA system.

Click on window -> Perspective -> Reset perspective.

Click on Data provisioning.

Click on Finish.
We can see Schema name as same as Configuration name and DD02L , DD02T, DD08L Tables.
