Women’s Day Celebration 2021

Good morning one and all.


Today is International Women’s Day – Yes! It’s OUR DAY celebrated across the
globe to boast women’s achievements in the social, economic, cultural, and
political spheres. We have become fierce, robust and powerful spirits which
makes us excel in our respective fields. This is the day when we look back at
the past and reflect upon how far we have come, advocate for what is needed
and continue to march ahead breaking all barriers.
Once again Happy Women’s Day to the most amazing women here

Lighting of Lamp: Light drives away darkness and symbolizes hope and
knowledge. I now request the dignitaries our honorable Director, Dr. Pawan
Kumar, Prof. P Saravanan, Prof. Vijaya and Aishwarya Lanjewar to light the
lamp.

I would now like to introduce our first guest Padma Shri Dr. Janak Palta
Mcgilligan:
Dr. Janak Palta McGilligan is the Director the of Jimmy McGilligan Centre that
trained more than 40,000 students in sustainable development, in Sanawadia
village near Indore. She is also the Co-founder of Jaivik Setu, the National
Coordinator for the Solar Food Processing Network India.
She was the Director of the Barli Development Institute for Rural Women
Indore from 1985 to 2011, which trained more than 6000 tribal girls and young
women from 500 villages of India in solar cooking and food processing.
She is also an honorary secretary of Sangini Cancer Care society Indore,
dedicated to breast cancer patients since 2007.
From the Institute where she trained rural and tribal women and making them
capable of getting employment to her model of sustainable living in
Sanawadia, Mrs.Janak epitomizes selfless service and commitment towards a
cause.
She received the prestigious Padma Shri award of India, in the year 2015.

Ma’am its an immense pleasure to have you with us today, I now request you
to share your thoughts with us.

Guest 2: Thank You Aishwarya. Good Afternoon Everyone, I am Prachi. It’s


been a very educative and _____ event with the our inspiring guests. To go
forward from here I am very proud to Introduce Our Next guest of the day Ms.
Prarthna Batra. Ms Batra is a 16 year old entrepreneur and a student at Vasant
Valley School, New Delhi. Her passion for entrepreneurship led her to start an
amazing socially responsible start-up which focuses on recycling e-wastes. Not
just that Ms. Batra started a YouTube series of her own where she interviewed
various entrepreneurs and accomplished personalities. At such a young age
Prarthna inspires all the young women’s to take up responsibility about their
environment while showing them that a women can pursue their passion &
succeed in anything irrespective of age, gender or any other criteria.

Guest 3- I am very honoured to introduce our next guest Ms Anoushka Adya.


Ms. Adya is a Feminist, an Entrepreneur, a TEDx Speaker, & a marketer. Ms
Anoushka holds a Masters in Marketing & Strategy from Warwick Business
School, United Kingdoms. She holds marketing experience of over 10 years and
worked with brands like Whyte & Mackay & Web Liquid, before starting her
own start-up Di-Mentions, an award winning digital marketing agency in
Mumbai & Delhi. Her another successful Social Startup is Lajja Diaries, a
platform which give voice to women to share experiences of abuse. Lajja
Diaries became a great platform to spread awareness among women. It gives
me immense pleasure to invite you to share your words.
