comment on your reflection. Both of you, discuss your answers.

Name: Nario Jr., Jonathan Gabriel L. CaseNo. 1

A. My Reflection on CaseNo.1

I have a good idea on how to make my learners pay attention to the lesson. I will use the
new idea and find out if it will work.

As a very enthusiastic and lively person, I can say that I can create many ways
to get the attention of my learners to the lessons that I will present. Maybe I will provide
some games before I will start my discussion proper just like “four pics, one word or
guess that thing” so that they will have an idea on what is our topic and during our
discussion if I see that my students are sleepy, they are not having attention in my
discussion, or they are busy doing something instead of listening, I will stop the
discussion for a while and maybe we will dance a short Zumba just to get back their
attention or we will have some “ice breakers”. This learning techniques I mentioned, I
actually do this everytime I have my reporting since back in my junior and senior high
school days up until now in college. I don’t like to report without any “pakulo” or
surprise activities. Days before my report I will make sure to research some lively
activities relating to my topic just get the attention of my listeners or learners that why
they always call me “pabibo reporter” because I always have something new to put on
the table. Having this personality really helps to train myself to become the best teacher
I want to become in the future. I am very explorer when it comes to finding new things
and ideas. Every time I can randomly think unique activities and bright ideas I make
sure that I will wrote it in my daily notes and present it to the class to assure that it
works effectively.

A. What my partner said about my reflection

The role of the teacher is not about teaching in front of the students whether they understand or
not but to see how effective the teaching techniques or methods you are using. As I read my
partner’s reflection I can see how passionate he is in teaching his student by doing some “ice
breaker” during his lesson, wherein he can get the attention of his students at the same time his
classroom atmosphere will be livelier. Teaching different kind of students is a struggle to attract
learners' attention: the learner’s t is full of distractions such as the environment, and adult
learners are both busier and freer to indulge in distractions. Helping students to pay attention is a
primary concern of training professionals, so using different kinds of strategies in getting his
students attention is a great way and it’s good to always have something new to put on the table
for his students.
