Notes: Week 1: Life Changing Conversation
From the Bible
Mark 1:14-20 – 14 ... Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming
the good news of God. 15 “The time has come,” [Jesus] said.
Repent – feel “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good
or express news!” 16 As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, [Jesus]
sincere regret saw Simon and [Simonʼs] brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for
or remorse they were fishermen. 17 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make
about one's
wrongdoing or
you fishers of men.” 18 At once [Simon and Andrew] left their nets and
sin followed him [Jesus]. 19 When [Jesus] had gone a little farther, he [Jesus]
saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their
nets. 20 Without delay [Jesus] called them, and they left their father
Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed [Jesus].

Jeremiah 16:16-17 – 16 “But now I will send for many fishermen,”
declares the Lord, “and they will catch them (God’s people). After that I
will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them (God’s people) down
on every mountain and hill and from the crevices of the rocks. 17 My eyes
are on all their ways; they are not hidden from me, nor is their sin
concealed from my eyes.
