The Amiruddaula Islamia Degree College and Science-Tech Institute, Lucknow is going to organize
One Week Online Faculty Development Programe On Advanced Research Methodology
This training will provide a platform to the researchers and academicians to enrich their
methodological and analytical skills.

Currently, the teaching fraternity is missing their lively and interactive trainings due to COVID-19
Pandemic. To address the present situation we are conducting this One Week Online Faculty
Development Programe On Advanced Research Methodology for faculty members and research
scholars of a ll the disciplines in the country and abroad from March 21- 27, 2021.
Amiruddaula Islamia Degree College
Amiruddaula Islamia Degree College, Lucknow has a distinct place among the
Chosen few Educational Institutions of Lucknow, the city of learning and culture.
Initially started as an Arabic Madarsa around 1894, became a High School in the
year 1916 and an Intermediate College in the year 1942, was elevated to the status
of Degree College in 1991, started with B.A. classes in 1991-92. setup B.Com classes
in 1993-94 and B.Sc. Course with three groups CPM, PCM and ZBC in 1996-97.

The College is presently imparting education to the "students of nursery to

graduation with separate section for girls up to Intermediate level. The Courses of
Arts, Science and Commerce are available at all levels.

The College Society was registered in 11-02-1918 with Honourable Raja Sir Mohd.
Ali Mohd. Khan, Taluqdar of Mehmoudabad, Moulvi Sayed Nabiullah, Bar-at-Law,
Honourable Mirza Samiullah Beg, Sheikh Mohd. Habibullah and eight other
prominent Muslims of Lucknow as members of the Committee. The College land
with constructions thereon was purchased by the Committee of Management of
Islamia High School by means of registered sale deed in 1924.

The special emphasis of the Institution remains on Character Building, Teaching and
Discipline etc. Moral teaching and Counseling also form an important part of the
College life.

The three faculties of the degree section (viz., Arts, Commerce and Science) are
running with the best of infrastructure including well equipped Labs and Computer
centre etc. combined with committed and dedicated teachers, who excel in their
fields and also act as mentor and guide of their students to discover and develop
their inherent talents and strength. Sufficient number of qualified faculty members
remain fully devoted to give their best to the students. They have good academic
credentials, extensive experience in chosen fields, and they are always accessible to
the students in the class rooms and outside.

Science-Tech Institute
The Science-Tech is one of the premier institutes of Lucknow dedicated to organize
various academic activities like conferences, seminars, workshops and training
programmes in collaboration with many national & international organizations. The
institute is run by Manraj Kuwar Singh Educational Society, Lucknow. The society is
working for the development of deprived socio-economic students by providing them
quality education. The Science Tech Institute is actively engaged in organizing various
workshops and training programs to promote academic and research environment in
the society. The society is devoted to provide quality education to the poor students.
 ABOUT OF THE PROGRAM
Currently, the teaching fraternity is missing their lively and interactive
classrooms due to COVID-19 Pandemic. To address the present situation, the
University Grants Commission (UGC) has intensified its efforts to have a strong
virtual engagement with the students through email/WhatsApp and hosting
lectures using Google Class Room and other video-conferencing platforms.
Keeping in view the immense benefits and reach of online courses in the
present academic set-up, the Amiruddaula Islamia Degree College,
University of Lucknow and Science Tech Institute Lucknow is offering a One
Week Online Faculty Development Programe On Advanced Research
Methodology for faculty members and research scholars of higher education
in the country from 21-27 March, 2021
Research is a form of systematic enquiry to delve deeper into a subject and
produce socially relevant results in different forms like a product, research
paper, patent or thesis. There are varied forms of research; each characterized
by different methodologies. Research methodology holds prime importance as
it outlines the course of the research endeavor and its final outcome. The
process of research and the associated tasks need to be conceptualized
appropriately to bring in the much needed quality in the research. Every task
involved, like collection of data, searching literature review, deriving a
mathematical or computational solution or presentation of the results,
requires a concrete and systematic approach. Formulation of such an approach
requires immense deliberation in terms of the tools and techniques to be
deployed as well. This Online Refresher Course is diligently planned around
developing the foundational knowledge needed to step into the arena of
research. The programme is an effort towards exploring different dimensions
and paradigms of research. The modules intend to enhance the ability of the
participants to undertake independent research in a planned manner, identify
appropriate and significant literature review, design questionnaires, collect and
analyze data, perform simulations and, to assist them in writing research
papers for good quality journals. The participants will be trained to use several
open source tools that are useful in accomplishing their research outcomes.
The primary tools covered are those that would aid a researcher in a
systematic background knowledge probe, data visualization, and effective
presentation of results, writing research paper, preparation of reports and
thesis, and prevention against plagiarism.

After successful completion of the online course, the participants will be able to

 About Resource Persons of FDP
1. Prof. Purusottam Chhakraborty Visiting Professor Rutgers the State
University of New Jersey, USA Former Senior Professor Saha Institute of
Nuclear Physics, Purushottam Chakraborty is an Indian physicist who is
one of the experts on Materials Analysis using Ion Beams and Secondary
Ion Mass Spectrometry.

2. Prof. D.S.Hooda, (G..J. University of Science & Technology, Hisar,

Haryana): Prof. Hooda has been chairman of Research Development
Committee of the university and de-facto chairman of the DPMC of every
PhD. Scholar. IHe was supervising all research projects funded by various
scientific organizations. I used to coordinate other research activities in the
university. He has been the Former Pro-Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra
University.

3.Prof. J.S.Saini, D.C.R. University of Science & Technology, Sonipat,

Haryana, India). Prof. Saini is Head of Department of Electrical Engineering,
D.C.R. University of Science & Technology, Sonipat, Haryana. He has also been
Dean of Faculty of Engineering Science at this university. He has published more
than 100 research papers and author of several books.

4. Prof. K.K.Tyagi. (ICAR- Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (

IASRI), New Delhi, India). Prof. Tyagi is former Principal Scientist and
Consultant at ICAR-IASRI, New Delhi. He has wide
Specialization/Experience in Teaching Sampling Techniques/Survey
Sampling/Statistical Methods to M.Sc./Ph.D.Students.
Specialization/Experience of Planning and organizing of Pilot/Large
Scale Sample Surveys in the field of Agriculture including
Mechanization. He has also worked as Consultant at FAO of United
Nation.
5.Prof. R.J. Yadav. (National Institute of Biologicals, MoHFW,) Prof. Yadav is
presently working as Senior Consultant at National Institute of
Biologicals, MoHFW., GoI. He has been the Scientist –G (Director Grade)
at ICMR –National Institute of Medical Statistics (NIMS), New Delhi. He is
also associated with World Health Organization (WHO) in many health
related projects.

6.Prof Masood Siddiqui,. Professor & Pan Area Chair : Decision Sciences,
Business Analytics & Operations and Chair : Faculty Development at Jaipuria
Institute of Management, Lucknow , Experienced Professor ( Decision
