The bar chart represents the daily indicative amount of two
major pollutants (SO2 and N2O) in the four popular cities of
the world in 2000. Generally speaking, in the terms of air pollution included both the mentioned pollutants, Mexico City is leading all the other cities, whereas, the big city of India, Calcutta had the moderate air pollution. Though there was not major difference can be seen in the amount of the two pollutants. Noticeably, Log Angeles grabbed the first position, having being the lowest amount of Sulphur Dioxide. The maximum level of air pollution was present in Mexico City where both the pollutants reached its peak limit that was 200 and above milligrams per m3, also the figures are doubled than that of Log Angeles, maximum limit of N2O. There was no striking difference between the levels of Dinitrous Oxide (N2O) in Calcutta and Beijing. Remarkably, in Los Angeles the least amount of Sulphur Dioxide was found (merely 10 milligrams per m3), whereas, Calcutta accumulated five times higher SO2 at both minimum and maximum level. Beijing’s SO2 maximum limit was four quarters higher than that of its minimum level.
