In the modern world, technology plays a significant role in everyone's life, whether you are a kid, teenager
or adult. Technology comes in many different forms from a phone computer laptop, etc. I would say that the phone
is the most used one of all of that. I think the cellphone has many advantages. You can use it to call your friend text
others find information and many different things. Often than not, people usually did not use their phones in the
right way. People typically use their phones to play games, browse the internet and just waste their time on
unproductive things. And I would say that I think I am addicted to the phone too. For example, when I was in some
boring class, I would usually take my phone out and play to kill time by scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, etc.
When I was young, I think I was more addicted to my phone than this, too, because, at that, I was right around grade
6-7. I will usually play the game all the time, no matter what class it is. But as time went by, I think I was more
mature and knew when to use and when not to use, I guess.
In my English class, Mr.Matt decided to make us do a challenge about our relationship with the phone. At
first, I think I will go through the challenge pretty easily because I did not know there will be challenging stuff. The
challenge will last for five days every day there will be a new challenge added into the old one. The first challenge
was for you to keep your phone in your pocket or back while you were moving from one place to another basically
is you can't play your cellphone or listen to music while you are going home or walk back to the dorm. I fail this
challenge pretty quickly because when I went home from school, I will usually be exhausted from the sports I
practice. So I put in my AirPods and yeah I fail the first one. For the next four challenges, I pretty much fail them
all. There is one challenge that will require you not to text to others but rather call them instead. That is so
impossible for me because some people that I texted I feel like I am not that close to them yet to call them. For
friends, sometimes the thing that we are texting each other is not that important to call, so this one is impossible for
me to do.
In conclusion, after I have done all the challenges that were proved by Mr. Matt. It is right that I fail all the
challenges, but I think that it did not affect my overall relationship with my friend and my family. I listen to my
AirPods on the way back home, but I am still talking to my mom. For the call challenge, I didn’t call them, but I still
text them. All and all I think if we get older and more mature, we will know by ourselves when to use our phone and
