14 Read the text about Debra’s holiday. Tick (✓) the types of transport she used.
Last year we visited Greece. First, we took a plane from London to Athens, and
then we took a boat to the island of Hydra. The journey from Athens only took
us an hour and a half. Hydra is a beautiful, small island with friendly people. The
one thing that is different about this island is that there are no cars or buses!
The only form of transport are donkeys and bikes! Our ‘taxi’ to the hotel, which
was at the top of the town, was a donkey. Because there were five of us, we
had five donkeys! It was fun. At first, this was a little weird, but then I really
enjoyed the peace and quiet! No noise or pollution from cars or buses. It was
magic. – Debra, 12
