(1) The relative humidity of the heated air at the heated air at the temperature of 40°C is

16%.

(2) Required heat for heating the heat temperature

= 61kJ/kgDA – 34kJ/kgDA

= 27kL/kgDA

(3) Difference of the absolute humidity

= 0.0118 kg/kgDA – 0.0075kg/kgDA

= 0.0043 kg/kgDA

(4) Latent heat consumed

= 50 kJ/kgDA – 39 kJ/kgDA

= 11 kJ/kgDA
2. What is the most impressive or interested topic in the study trip to the paprika
production factory and the juice manufacturing factory and museum? Answer
with the reason.

In my opinion, the most impressive in this study trip for me is visiting the paprika
greenhouse. I was very impressed by the technology that used in the greenhouse
especially the water supply system. The water supply system stores the rainwater and
then supply it to the paprika plant. I was so surprised that the water supply system can
store 1,200,000 L of water! I think this farm is practicing sustainable agriculture because
it used rainwater for its water supply to the plant. This rainwater storage technology is
very important in Japan because water is very expensive in Japan.

Another thing that I think interesting is the biological control in paprika greenhouse.
Biological control is good for paprika production because it can prevent pesticide
resistance. Besides that, I think biological control is better than chemical control
because it is good for human health.

I hope this type of agriculture technology (rainwater storage and biological control) can
be applied in other crops especially in Malaysia.
