    Writing task: Should euthanasia be legalised?

    Length: 170 words approximately

    Deadline: 10th December, Tuesday

    NB: The essay will be handwritten

    Rubric: You have realized there is a growing concern everywhere about the
    legalisation of euthanasia. You are a keen writer of opinion essays and now, after
    learning more about its policy for the submission of articles, you feel enthusiastic about
    submitting a piece to the Guardian.

    Your essay will include:

    -A title that grabs the reader’s attention.

    -A topic sentence where you take a stance on the issue, with a closing question.

    -The present-day state of affairs, showing opposing views within our society.

    -Make a suggestion and/or give a solution.

    -A conclusion. It mustn’t be a copy-paste repetition or a time to contribute a new


    thread of argumentation.

    Lexical and grammatical richness: 25%
