Colour and Identity Activity Rubric

Criteria for Eligible Submission

__ The title of the film and the name of the filmmaker is provided at the beginning of
the presentation.

Your presentation will answer each of the following questions:

- What is the text saying about identity?
- What colour have you chosen, and what does that colour symbolize?
- What function is that colour providing in the text?
- How does this function serve what the text is saying about identity?

SLO 2.1.1.a) Explain the text creator’s purpose, including implicit purpose when
applicable; describe whether or not the purpose was achieved (for example, describe an
author’s use of juxtaposition to develop a contradictory impression of a character); and
assess the suitability of a text to the target audience.

The presentation has clearly identified the message that the text creator was trying to
convey.
