COVER LETTER
Monday September 14, 2020

Recruiters and Hiring Managers,

I am a trustworthy, caring, and dedicated professional with 10 years of experience as a registered nurse. My experience
includes operating room circulator, operating room scrub nurse, adult critical care, neonatal intensive care, adult medical
surgical telemetry units and in-home care of pediatric medically fragile patients. As a new nurse I completed a residency
in critical care at Good Samaritan Hospital and enjoyed my experience working with patients in progressive and intensive
care units.

During nursing school, I completed a preceptorship at Upper Valley Medical Center on an Ambulatory Surgery/
Endoscopy Unit. My first opportunity to work in the operating room was at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA and I
immediately fell in love with being a part of the patient’s perioperative experience and my role as circulator. Every day I
am inspired by the miraculous work surgeons do and am thankful to be a part of it. My experience includes circulating in
general, gynecology, Davinci Robotic, orthopedic, ENT, urology, plastics, vascular, organ procurement and pediatric
dental cases. I feel my different clinical areas in the nursing field have helped me grow to become a more knowledgeable
and confident nurse. I am always eager for new learning experiences as they come. As a people person I make it a
priority to connect with patients and help them achieve their desired wellness. No matter what area of nursing I have
worked in, I have given my all and embraced every opportunity with gratitude and an open mind.

I value learning new things and am currently advancing my education to achieve a Bachelor of Science in nursing at
James Madison University. I plan to become certified in operating room nursing. Currently I am actively seeking a nursing
position that not only allows me to continue building a strong foundation in the profession of nursing but also gives me the
opportunity to make a difference in patients and their families’ lives. I am interested in your current job opportunities.

If hired, I promise to give my best to my employer, coworkers, and the patients I have the pleasure of working
with. I value teamwork and am asking for the opportunity to join your team of employees.

Sincerely,
Annabel Cantrell, RN

REFERENCE LETTER

Sunday, May 18, 2016

Dear Madam/Sir,

I consider it an honor to write this letter of recommendation for Annabel Cantrell. I met Annabel almost
2 years ago when she was interviewing for a position in our operating room. I knew immediately that I wanted
her on our GYN team. While training Annabel I realized my intuition was right. She was completely new to the
environment, but she dove right in learning with a hands on approach. She never hesitated asking questions
which many times stimulated me to learn by having to look up the answers myself. As time has progressed I
have been able to watch Annabel's skills grow. Her rapport with the physicians and staff quickly made her a
favorite. Her energy and room turnover times along with knowledge and empathy for her patients are the
reason many surgeons request her to circulate in their rooms.

Outside of work Annabel makes it known that she values her family and health. She is very active in her
children's lives and their extra-curricular activities. She also works hard to eat right and work out almost daily.
She started a Facebook page "Get Healthy and be Happy 2016" that promotes others to support each other
become a healthier version of themselves. She has been a real inspiration to me to try to eat healthier myself.

Overall, Annabel is an intelligent, energetic and inspiring nurse, friend, wife and mother. I feel very
lucky to have had the opportunity to work beside her. I feel certain she will fill the need of any nursing
department she chooses to work in.

Thank you,
Carmen Page RN

REFERENCE LETTER

To whom it concerns,

I am so pleased to write this letter of referral for Mrs. Annabel Cantrell. I came to know her November
2014. I have worked with many new nurses over my 40 years in the OR and Annabel stands out among those
nurses. I found her very easy to work with and a personable individual.

Annabel soon took full responsibility as an RN managing her own OR suite as a true professional.
Patient safety and true caring is evident in her daily activities. She has great interpersonal skills and is such an
asset to our entire surgical service. She will not be easy to replace and will be sorely missed.

In closing, I believe Annabel will be a positive role model and hard worker as your employee. She is a
colleague and friend whom I am proud to say I mentored. You may contact me for any additional information.

Sincerely,
