1. Solve the following exercises from the textbook.

- 4.8, 4.14, 4.16, 4.26.

- 5.12, 6.8, 6.10, 6.18.

2. Use a direct proof to show that if n, n + 1, and n + 2 are three consecutive positive
integers, then exactly one of them is divisible by 3.

3. Give a contrapositive proof that given two real numbers x and y, if the product xy is
irrational then either x or y is an irrational number.
