Business Plan Research

My business would be named Lunar Lens and it would specialise in commercial and
personal videography such as adverts, events, and films.

I would need to register the company name, which costs £12 on the government website:
https://www.gov.uk/limited-company-formation/register-your-company

When setting up my business I will need equipment such as:

- Camera that can film in high quality

- Tripod

- Camera Bag
- Camera Batteries

- Lighting Equipment

- Editing Software

- Memory Cards
- Computer

- Gimbal

- Microphone

- External Hard Drive

- Monitor

In order to afford this equipment I will need financial help, this funding could be secured by a
bank loan or even trying to acquire a grant that supports young people when starting
businesses.
Because my business relies solely on independent clients I need to make sure that people
know about it. In order to get my business known I will have to advertise it. I will start by
setting up an internet footprint, making an account on social media such as Facebook,
Instagram and Tiktok, posting frequent audience aimed content to reach as many people as
possible. Another way of advertising my company would be through paying for adverts on
digital and print media.
When starting off I will focus on filming events such as weddings or parties as these are
normally in high demand, and branch off into things like short films or music videos when the
opportunity arises. Once I have a good reputation and clientele I will be able to get more
offers for commercial level jobs as I have solid proof that I can do a good job.

Because of how much I’m spending and the quality of the product that will come out I will be
charging my clients from a specific range based on the product they require, with things like
music videos and films ranging from £650 - £15,000. Personal events ranging from £300 to
£2,000 and commercial products ranging from £750 - £6,000.
