ACTIVITY #2 TEXT and DRAW

A. Pictograph

Instructions: Write your own simple definitions on the topic written on

the right side of the table and Draw an object ( pictograph ) that signifies
your discussion.
1. What is Art? Draw a pictograph or any symbols
that signifies your definitions.

Art is a medium to express feelings, thoughts and

observation. They are the way people create for
others to see and appreciate. Art enable us to find
ourselves.

2. Art is universal Draw a pictograph or any symbols

that signifies your definitions.

Art has always been timeless and universal. It

let us express ourselves in a way that we want.

 3. Art is not nature? Draw a pictograph or any symbols that
signifies your definitions.

Art is man-made construct. Moreover, “art is

not nature” means that it is not a natural
occurrence. However, man has taught himself
to find art in nature. Art is not Nature, Art is
made by Man setting us apart from the
animals, humans learned and perceived logic
and pattern in our everyday lives.

4. Art involves Experience? Draw a pictograph or any symbols

that signifies your definitions.

Because art expresses emotions,

thoughts, and ideas. In order to
create art you must have ideas that
will complement it, that is why we
need experience, to have an idea of
what we are going to make as an art.

B. Picture Analysis

Instructions: Write a simple lines about the picture in the space provided, it could
 be in a form of poem, story line, or any other related literary forms.
1. Lovers lane Write a story line or poem

The thought of you is calming

Like I’m somehow at the beach
And dreams I thought were far away
Are somehow now in reach

The thought of you is patient

Like desert waits for rain
And when it pours, your breeze is sure
To brighten things mundane

The thought of you is laughter

Precious moments without care
Where the only things that matter
Are the moments that we share

-the thought of you is air

2. Social Function

I have no desire to fit in

It’s grandma’s 75th birthday

Everyone was there
There’s no more words I can say
When the room was filled with laughter

Standing on the very corner

Making me the lonely one
Watching them all chitchat with each
other
Drinking beers and having fun

I hate this feeling

I hate being the third person
Just on the side and awkwardly
standing
Being left out is indeed terrible

So I tried walking towards them

My heart beats faster.. and faster
I can feel their eyes glare at my soul
My eyes met theirs, their eyes were all
so tender

I have no desire to fit in

From my rich aunties and uncles
To my beautiful and handsome cousins
I am just a messed young girl

I have no desire to fit in

But their smile is as sweet as God
Calling His angel to come near and sit in
It’s weird, it’s odd

I was wrong all along

Thinking I wasn’t even a simple thought
in any of their minds
My presence was the one they longed
I was wrong to let controlled by my pride

I always think and say

I have no desire to fit in
But they didn’t push me away
They love me, I am loved, I always have
been
