         Definition- BLENDED LEARNING

Blended learning refers to the learning delivery that


combines face-to-face with any or a mix of online
distance learning and modular distance learning.
    Two Types of Online Distance Learning:

1. Synchronous Online Learning

2. Asynchronous Online Learning


   What is Synchronous Online Learning?

Synchronous learning It is
a form of instruction wherein
the participants meet online
at the same time but not in
the same location.

Students can directly interact


with their peers and teachers
as discussion happen in real
time.
What is Asynchronous Online Learning?

It is a form of instruction
that allow students and
teachers to have flexibility
in delivering and taking up
lessons in a way that is
less restricted by time and
p l a c e .
         What is ACTS BLENDED LEARNING PROGRAM?

ACTS Blended Learning


Program uses online and
modular approaches in
delivering education which is
powered by the school’s own
virtual learning environment
(ACTS-VLE),with the aid of
video conferencing tools and
partnership to local government
u n i t s .
    ACTS BLENDED LEARNING PROGRAM has :
O N L I N E D I S TA N C E L E A R N I N G
requires no physical learning space
interaction that uses digital learning platform,
which requires internet or wired connectivity
in facilitating the teaching-learning process.

engaging learners’ active participation. This
allows for a 1 hour synchronous session
per subject per week and 3 hours
asynchronuous access and self-study
ACTSsential Learning Packets due each
week or as determined by the teacher to be
uploaded/submitted through ACTS-VLE .
  ACTS ONLINE DISTANCE LEARNING 
It is an interactive educational platform,
and personal organizer designed for
ACTS students. The ACTS-VLE offers
functionalities to monitor students
progress such as attendance,
participation on discussions,
submission of assigned tasks/activities,
taking of quizzes, tests and other
assessment and evaluation. The ACTS-
VLE, engaging video conferencing tool,
will be utilized by the teachers and
students for synchronous and
asynchronous sessions.
 Synchronous Session

Activities include Video


Conferencing, Online
Collaborations, Discussions,
Actual Online Consultations,
Live Webinars, and other
similar tasks. This allows for a
1 hour per online class per
week.
Asynchronous Session

During asynchronous session,


students will accessed the
self-study ACTSsential
Learning Packets due each
week or as determined by the

uploaded/submitted through
ACTS-VLE .
MODULAR DISTANCE LEARNING
It involves individualized instruction that
allows learners to use self-learning
modules (SLMs)- ACTSsential Learning
Packets in digital format which can be
accessed through ACTS-VLE or printed
ACTSsential Learning Packets can be
picked up by the parents at the
designated barangay drop off points
(Hatid Aral sa Barangay), whichever is
applicable in the context of the student,
and other learning resources.
     MODULAR DISTANCE LEARNING

T h e “ A C T S H AT I D - A R A L S A
BARANGAY” program is the institution’s
response to Modular Distance Learning
approach that can be used by the students
with limited availability of resources and no
internet connection. Parents will picked up
the printed ACTSsential Learning
Packets” prepared by the professional
teachers of ACTS Computer College at the
designated barangay drop off points.
     MODULAR DISTANCE LEARNING

parents at the deisgnated
barangay drop off points and
will be picked up the school
support staff and will be
forwarded to the teachers for
feedback.

own schedule in finishing the
tasks in ACTSsential Learning

It is student-centered. Students
have their own way of learning
that would work for them. Since
the accomplishment of tasks is
self-paced, students learn to have
a s e n s e o f r e s p o n s i b i l i t y.

“Magulang Ako, Kaagapay


Ako” Program
In preparation for the ‘new
normal’ in the education system,
ACTS Computer College
designed a program entitled,
“Magulang Ako, Kaagapay Ako”
which aims to help the students
learn comfortably and effectively
in their respective houses
through the assistance of their
parents or guardian.
