The Study and Thinking Skills course is designed to equip students with the necessary

information-rich world, students need to develop strong study habits and enhance their
cognitive abilities to succeed academically and in their future careers. This course aims
to provide students with the essential techniques to manage their learning process
efficiently, process information critically, and make informed decisions.

Throughout the course, students will engage in various interactive activities, discussions,
and practical exercises to improve their study techniques, time management skills, and
critical thinking abilities. The course will focus o n fostering a growth mindset and creating
a supportive learning environment to encourage continuous improvement and success.

Course Title : Komunikasyon sa Akademikong Filipino

Course Description:
Ang Filipino 1 ay isang metalinggwistik na pag-aaral sa gamit ng akademikong Filipino sa
iba’t ibang sitwasyon at larangan. Sa paraang interdisiplinaryo at interaktibo inaasahang
mauunawaan at malilinang sa mga estudyante ang mga kailangang kaalaman at
kasanayan sa paggamit ng Filipino sa lalong mataas na edukasyon.

Course Title : Fundamental of Mathematics

Course Description:
This is an integrative course. It is meant to synthesize and reinforce the concepts,
processes and skills learned in secondary school. The course is guided by the following
principles:
• the need to emphasize on conceptual understanding more than procedural
understanding but not sacrificing fundamental quantitative skills;
• the need to use contexts that capture real-world problems and maximize the use of
modeling and visualizing techniques and using appropriate technology to solve these
problems;
• the need to engage learners in reflective thinking and provide them opportunities to
“think outside the box.”
This course further intends to develop and strengthen the following general skills: problem
formulating and solving, justifying and reasoning, evaluating and extending, and analytical
skills. The use of graphing calculators and computer algebra systems is highly
encouraged.

HELE is intended to provide classroom and practical work experience that will make
enable the student to gain understanding of an acquired competencies in various
economic activities as they relate to the four components areas namely: home
economics, industrial arts, agricultural arts and entrepreneurship. This subject is intended
also to develop knowledge and skills, values, and attitudes that will prepare the learner
for entry into the world or work. It develops intellectual and functional skill essential to the
pursuit of the higher learning through a gainful occupation and entrepreneurship. It
enhances individual self-reliance and productivity in meeting human needs and develop
desirable attitudes and values which will contribute to effective personal, family and
community living.

The Physical Education - Rhythmic Activities course focuses on developing students'

Throughout the course, students will engage in a range of rhythmic activities, including

Course Title : Civic Welfare Training Service

Civic Welfare Training Service 2 (CWTS 2) is a continuation of the CWTS program that

community engagement. Building on the foundation laid in CWTS 1, this course delves

promote positive change and social transformation.

CWTS 2 focuses on practical application and experiential learning, allowing students to


actively participate in community projects, initiatives, and advocacy work. This course
emphasizes the importance of sustainable development, collaboration with local
communities, and critical reflection on the impact of service efforts.

Course Title : Speech Communication

Course Description:
The Speech Communication course is designed to enhance students' verbal

Course Title : Masining na Pagpapahayag

Course Description:
Ang Filipino ay pag-aaral ng mga prinsipyo at proseso ng masining na pafgpapahayag
sa Filipino. Nakatuon ito sa malayang pagtuklas at pagpapakita ng sariling kakayahan at
talino sa pasulat at pasalitang pagpapahayag at pagbabahagi ng mga ito sa komunidad,
bansa at daigdig.

Course Title : Child and Adolescent Development

Course Description:
Basic course on child and adolescent development focusing on current research and
theory on the biological, linguistic, cognitive, social and emotional dimensions of
development and the factors that affect the progress of development.
The coverage of the course is structured to cover the key dimensions of the development
of children and adolescents: physical, linguistic, cognitive, and socio-emotional
development. For each dimension, the core contemporary research findings and theories
are covered. Particular emphasis is given to the factors that have been identified as
having positive or negative effects on the natural course of these developmental
processes. In addition, some focus is given on the exceptional cases when children or
adolescents vary from the natural course.
The coverage of these ideas is intended to provide the future teacher with a broad yet
fairly detailed understanding of the developmental processes that students undergo, so
that such an understanding may be used to guide all dealings (i.e., formal instructional,
informal social, etc.) with the students.

This course is designed to help the Education students verify the behavior of the child in
the actual classroom setting. It will require them to recognize the feasible approaches to

apply their newly acquired knowledge.
