Ingredients

 8 cups (4 pints) sweet fresh fruit (such as strawberries, blueberries, or apricots)

 One packet MCP pectin powder (optional)

 4 cups sugar (use 5 1/3 cups for bitter fruits like oranges)

 1/4 cup lemon juice

 1/2 tsp. butter or margarine

1. Sterilize a dozen canning jars.


2. Prepare the fruit.
3. Slice and crush the fruit. 
4. Prepare the fruit in a stock pot or large saucepan.
