Traits - La Muerte is a truthful, sweet, generous, kind-hearted, caring, compassionate, and loving

goddess

Thoughts: La Muerte believes in the goodness and pureness of mortal-kind stems from her own heart,
as well as from that of the departed and deceased mortal people who are now her citizens and subjects.
She cares for everyone and anyone, no matter who they are, and will assist anyone who is in need of her
help, believing humankind to be completely pure. La Muerte is very forgiving towards those who truly
want to repent.

Words- The world keeps spinning, and the tales keep turning, and people come and people go, but
they're never forgotten. And the one truth we know, it held true one more time... That love, true love,
the really, really good kind of love never dies.

Feelings/emotions- La Muerte loves her subjects in the Land of the Remembered. She cares about the
lives of people and gives them longger time to live. She had the strength to forgive Xibalba after
cheating on their first wager.

Xibalba cheated, making La Muerte lose trust in Xibalba.

Traits: sneaky, sly, cruel, cheater, manipulative, abusive on power, and evil-god (but also loving, kind,
and caring)

Thoughts: Xibalba and his wife La Muerte made a bet concerning which of the mortals, Manolo Sanchez
or Joaquín Mondragon would marry Maria Posada. The competition between the two of them caused
Xibalba to be over competitive and abusive in handling his pet Joaquin Mondragon.

Words: “there is little to no good left in humanity and it is beyond redemption.”

Feelings/Emotions:

- He is calm, confident, and too proud of himself. Despite his actions throughout most of the story, he
truly does care for his wife, La Muerte, and will attempt to please her, particularly towards the end. He's
quite capable of selfless love and admitting when he's been proven wrong.

Past- Xibalba cheated on his wife, La Muerte, in their past wager. That's why, he has become very
insecure around her. Xibalba has shown to regret that decision and was more than willing to enter a
new bet with her in order to keep her interested.
Future- In the end, he gave La Muerte a heartfelt apology for his behavior and asked her to forgive him.
She gladly accepted and pulled him in for a kiss. Until now, he is still on good terms with La Muerte,
apparently having renounced his old ways forever and redeemed himself once and for all.

Influence- Xibalba showed the viewers that not all evil will stay evil. He gave hope that anyone can
change, as long as we will show them the true meaning of love and forgiveness.
