Write a one-paragraph essay to answer the following questions:

1. Why do man’s major problems demand research?

Research is a matter of life that can solve major problems. For example, Due to
the human problem of going to various floors, elevators and escalators are products of
study. It a way to reduce discomfort, satisfy his needs, desires and expectations and to
improves his quality of life. Without research, there would be no way to solve these
problems, since this involves an investigation, precise judgement and crucial analysis to
find an appropriate solution to eliminate potential risks of future phenomena.

2. Explain the meaning of research?

Research is a systematic investigation into a specific topic, issue and questions
using specific methods. The intent of research is to answer the questions with facts and
precise judgement. Therefore, research seeks to figure out what is understood, what is
not, what we can further grow to better understand the environment and to understand
how this understanding can be used to change daily life.

3. Give at least 10 values of research to man and explain each.

Firstly, research improves quality of life because we always looking for
opportunities to enrich our lives. It gives us a light to inquire the right data in order to
acquire deeper understanding regarding the subject matter. Secondly, research improves
instruction because it is designed to embody learning process of action, evaluating which
strategy or technique is better. Research have been carried out on the various techniques,
tactics and approaches. Thirdly, research improves students’ achievement because
engaging in academic research helps students to practice critical thinking and working a
standardized method of investigation. Fourthly, research improves teacher’s competence
because teachers must have experience in a wide variety of competencies to optimize
student learning where hundreds of important decisions are required day by day.
Competent teachers are the central factor that, through their skills, potential and technical
expertise, profoundly affects the teaching learning environment and responsible for
getting their students the necessary improvements. Fifthly, research satisfies man’s needs
because everything we used in our daily life are all product of research. Without research
we can’t fully satisfied our needs and still living in conventional way. Next is, research
reduces burden of works because of innovations the life of humans became easy and
hassle free. Next, research has deep-seated psychological aspects because it defines a
challenges for the researcher to obtain a good results but it leads them to new and creative
outcomes. Next, research improves its exportation of food products through research,
exportation of products became widen and helps businesses to increase their sales
potential and profits. We need to focus on conducting research in agriculture and
 aquaculture in order to increase the exportation of food products in the Philippines and to
be competitive in our neighboring countries. Ninthly, research responds to the economic
recovery and austerity measure of the country because research

And lastly, research trains graduates to become responsive to the economic

development of the country and compete globally because conducting experimental
research and entrepreneurship is a fundamental skill creation that are essential in our
educational system, a paradigm change must take place to realize that we need to be
internationally competent in order to be genuinely globally successful.

4. Discuss briefly the components of a research process.

The first step in research process is to identify and define the focus of your
investigation by selecting a focus you will be able to come up with problems which will
guide you in your investigation. Then, using specific problems/ objectives of the study as
basis, the hypotheses it’s either null hypotheses (denial existence) and alternative
hypotheses (affirmative existence). Next step is constructs a theoretical or conceptual
framework and states the assumptions clearly to provide the basis of analysis. Next one is
review of related literature that provides the background of study and demonstrates the
significance of the proposed research. Then, uses the most appropriate research design to
the study and after that is collecting data which will help you in answering the problem.
Once your data is enough you may start analyzing and interpreting the gathered data. You
must describe and summarize the data clearly so you can answer the research questions or
prove your hypotheses and lastly makes recommendations for further research.

5. In your field of specialization, give a major problem and illustrate the independent,
intervening, and dependent variables.
