DYEING AUXILIARIES

USES

Dyeing wool with acid dyes.

Dyeing polyamide carpet piece goods with acid dyes.

Leveling and partial stripping of faulty dyeings.

Inhibiting precipitation in dyeing of fiber blends with anionic and cationic dyes.

General stability Stable in hard water and to acids, alkalis and electrolytes.

Storage stability Stable for more than 1 year. Viscosity increases at


temperatures below freezing, but the product’s effectiveness
is not impaired.

Ecology/toxicology The usual hygiene and safety rules for handling chemicals
should be observed in storage, handling and use. The
product must not be swallowed.

APPLICATIONS
Dissolving/diluting
®
ALBEGAL W NEW can be mixed with water in all proportions. It can also be added undiluted to
vigorously circulating liquors. Stock solutions are stable for prolonged periods.

Required amount

for partial/radical stripping

(correction of faulty dyeings) 2–4 % ALBEGAL W NEW

NOTES
Wool dyeing
®
ALBEGAL W NEW is recommended for use with dyes applied in an acid, weakly acid or neutral
medium but is not suitable for use with 1:2 metal complex and reactive dyes.

The bath is run 5–10 min with ALBEGAL W NEW, additives and chemicals before the dye is
added.

Partial stripping/leveling
The product is suitable for correcting faulty dyeing produced with acid and 1:2 metal complex dyes.
With chrome dyes, oxalic acid or organic complexing agents must be added. The goods must be
chromed again after rinsing.

Dyeing polyamide carpet piece goods


®
ALBEGAL W NEW is used as leveling agent in exhaust dyeing of anionic dyed differential dyeing
polyamide carpet piece goods without cationic dyed fiber component. The product does not impair
the differential dyeing effects.

Dyeing fiber blends


®
ALBEGAL W NEW can be used as a precipitation inhibitor in one-bath dyeing of fiber blends with
anionic and cationic dyes. Its dispersing properties have a stabilizing effect on the complexed dyes
in the dye bath.

pertaining to and proper procedures for safe handling, use, storage,
transportation and disposal of and exposure to the Product, and the containers
or equipment in which the Product may be handled, shipped or stored.
