General Outcome:

of Alberta has evolved over time by exploring and reflecting upon the following questions and
issues.

SLO 4.2.2.3 What do the stories of Aboriginal peoples tell us about their beliefs regarding the

Buffalo Show the students the book “The Legend of the Buffalo Stone” by Dawn Sprung

Question: What do we know about the buffalo already?

Read “The Legend of the Buffalo Stone” to the class.

Ask questions throughout to promote discussion about their relationship to the land.

Body Time

Buffalo Each student will receive a blank buffalo labelling sheet and a chrome book. 30 min

/ Fun I will explain to students that we will be completing a quiz on Kahoot.
Quiz
Ask students to go to www.kahoot.com – and click play at the top right hand corner.
- When I login there will a kahoot game pin displayed on the board for them to fill in.

A kahoot will be displayed on the SMART board of the buffalo labelling. We will work
through the buffalo labelling as a fun quiz. I will work through as many as I can until we are
getting close to the day ending – when setting up Kahoot turn on friendly nickname
generator and click classic.
