100,000 people left

“Daddy?” calls out my littlest child, luka. “Can you tell me a story, daddy?” her green eyes
look up at me expectantly. “Well ok,” I reply and pull her up on my lap, then turn her to face
me.“What story do you want to hear?” “ummmm…” she says thoughtfully. Then her face lights
up with an idea. “ The one of how the planet died.” I guess I should have expected that, it was
her favorite story. But that only because I left out the part where the dead planet was once ours.
“ ok then.. Once there was a planet where it was all green, with beautiful clear waters, and animals of all kinds. Some
were big and others were so small that the nacked eye couldn't see them.” “wow that's so cool!!” luka exclames. I
laugh lightly “ yes it is now may i continue?” she stops talking and looks and me. I take it as a
yes.
“ and while most of the animals got along there were the humans who wanted to rule the world. They all came from
different coulters, and religions. None of them look the same. Somewhere good and others only thought only about themselves.
Slowly at first humans started to invent things that were far beyond animals. Like the car, the phone, and the lightbulb.
Then the inventions were made corrupt by their creators, in the 10th century the gun was invented by the Chinnese. This
was used to heart people.
There were wars that killed many people, from everywhere. And along with the wars humans have polluted the planet that
they lived on till in 2485 there was a mass tsunami in Japan that killed half the population. And a year later volcanoes
erupted then was followed by hurricanes and other natural disasters. It was clear that the earth was prepared to die just to
get them off. So thats what happened. Those who could afford it were sent to a backup planet that they have been preparing
for a while.
In all the mess humans joined forces since humanity was so little with only 100,000 people left. they build the huge glass
domes . like the ones we live in now they had a very similar design The domes stretched on for miles. It
took a few decades but eventually they have built 75 doms to live in.” do you know why humans built the
domes?” I ask my daughter. “So that they could keep out the posunus gases and fill it with
oxygen?” I nod “exactly, anyways the humans began to fall back i to their old ways of war and soon later the
alliances were broken.but that's all for now how bout you run along and help mom with dinner. I'll
finish the story later ok?” “ok!” she says and then runs off into the kitchen.
But I never got to tell the rest of the story. Soon after dinner I was called to the station.
As I walked down the halls of the station I had two things on my mind. First i was wondering why
i was called here to the station when it was a holiday and two i hopped that Luka would never
find out the truth about the dead planet, she never made the connections in the story. She was a
kind and loving little girl that believes that no one could do wrong but was so interested in our
history that I feared that learning about all the horrible things people did might change her.
