Write an essay expressing your opinion on this matter of not allowing students to bring mobile
phones to school. Write at least 250 words.

What comes to the mind when the term “mobile phone” is mentioned? Pictures of young
children playing games using mobile phones, teenagers swiping Instagram accounts using mobile
phones and even the older generations use mobile phones to contact each other. Now, we can
define that mobile phones are essential in today’s world. We need mobile phones in everything we
do. For instance, booking a car to travel somewhere, ordering foods using mobile phones and even
connecting with friends and family when we are studying abroad. There is no denial that mobile
phones play an important role in our lives now. A research had been done and it found that an
average human spent 7 – 8 hours a day on their mobile phones. This is a massive amount as it is
equivalent to one-third of our day. Unlimited usage on the mobile phones will lead to addictions and
negative side effects for the students. Hence, I partially agree to Ministry of Education on not
allowing students to bring mobile phones to school.
