Air pollution is caused by the emission of toxic gases from vehicles, factories and open
burning. Nowadays, there are more and more vehicles on the road as society gets more
advanced. More and more people strive to have a better quality of life by having the
convenience of driving to their destinations instead of walking or taking public
transportations. We cannot deny that taking public transportations are uncomfortable and
tedious. We need to wake up early in the morning and cramp with lots of people to take
public transportation. Therefore, the usage of automobiles had increased drastically in the
recent years. However, the usage of these automobiles had caused the quality of air to
worsen. This is because carbon monoxide had been emitted by these automobiles. Carbon
monoxide is a type of gas which is harmful to the environment as it can cause the reduction
of oxygen in the bloodstream. Technology is not the blame for air pollution but human’s
attitude is one of the cause for air pollution. There are still many people who practised open
burning as a way to dispose their household waste. Although burning household waste is a
convenient way of getting rid of our rubbish, it is very harmful to the environment as it
contributes to the worsening of the air quality. As a result, air pollution causes people to
suffer from health problem such as chest pain and asthma.
