REFLECTION PAPER
The Nature of Christian Worship

To worship God is a duty that has been generally acknowledge by mankind and in all

ages and countries, there have been churches and religions. A change has taken place in the

nature of the worship. Christians do not worship God in ceremonial observances but in spiritual

ordinances, which is invigorated with divine power and energy. When we worship God in spirit,

it has nothing to do with physical posture, it is about the innermost being, and it is about what we

think of God is. We are the living sacrifices of God, we devote our own spirits and employ them

in the service of God. We worship Him with steadiness of mind, with pure affections, and with all

the powers of their souls. To worship in spirit requires a mind centered on God, a pure heart, open

and repentant. I am a very sinful person, I am like the other people that their souls are wandering

in air and they’re lost. I am lost, for I have done the things that shouldn’t happened. But I am

worshipping the only one I declared as God, I am repenting for the sins I’ve done.
